Chapter 3

James was pressing me for details about my night with JB. So far I hadn't told him anything because to be honest I didn't know how to explain it. JB wanted to kiss me but at the last minute looked away and then asked me to leave. My crush on him was growing and it frightened me, what if he realised that he doesn't like me that way.

"Come on Taylor! Tell me what happened" James sighed.

"I don't even know how to explain it" I said not meeting his gaze.

"Explain what? Did something happen?" He asked as I have peaked his interest.

"Well we nearly kissed" I admitted.

"Wait what do you mean you nearly kissed?" He asked me.

"Well our lips were literally inches from touching and then he turned away. I left after that because he said he was coming down with something"

"Interesting" James said.

"I don't know what came over him but it was weird" I said.

"Well you can talk to him in class today. When do you have English?" James asked me.

"First thing. I'll talk to him then"

We walked up to the concrete school building that resembled a prison. Groups of friends stood outside laughing and screaming but I noticed a herd of girls swarming the boys. They weren't taking much notice of them but they had probably become used to girls falling at their feet. JB was leaning against the wall with his foot on the wall looking effortlessly cool as per usual. He looked up and seen me, he smirked and made his way over to meet me. James gasped next to me as JB stood in front of us.

"Hey guys" he said.

"Hi JB. How you feeling?" I asked him.

"Huh? Oh yeah, yeah I'm feel a lot better" he said.

Did he just forget that he didn't feel well? That's a bit odd but I decided not to overthinking the situation.

"That's good. How's your friends?" I asked.

"They're good. But they get sick of all the female attention"

"It's like their in a trance. It's a bit weird" I blurted out.

"Yeah but hey ho what can you do?" He shrugged. "Wanna walk to class?"

I nodded and turned to James who was still shocked that JB was standing in front of us.

"I'll see you after okay"

He nodded and hugged me before I left with JB. Girls turned and glared at me, how could a girl like me be walking and spending time with JB? They put so much effort and time in to trying to get one of those guys's attention but nothing and then I came along and got attention straight away. I had to be honest, it felt good.

"So what happened last night JB? You sort of freaked out when we almost kissed" I asked.

He chuckled slightly sounding kind of nervous.

"I just wasn't expecting to kiss you so soon after talking to you" he said.

"Ah makes sense I guess" I said to him.

"Do you want to go out after school?"

"Like a date?" I asked hopeful for a yes.

"Yeah. Would you like to go on a date with me?" He asked turning to me.

My heart dropped. My crush just asked me on a date, there was no need to even think about my answer.

"Yes I would love that" I answered.

"Great. I'll meet you outside the school gates after school" he said.

"Sounds good"

Excitement took over me. Maybe James was right, maybe JB did have feelings for me. This was also going to be my very first date, what would I wear? Oh yeah the clothes I'm wearing now. I looked down at my clothes, black jeans and checked shirt. Casual but cute. We walked in to the class and for the first time I experienced what JB and the guys experienced every day, all eyes followed JB and me to our seats. All the eyes made me feel uneasy, didn't they have something better do with their lives? JB got the notes on Romeo and Juilet out of his backpack and layed it out on the table. I noticed he had written more things down, more than what I had.

"Well we didn't really do much work last night" I said to him.

"Yeah that's my fault" he said.

"You can't help it if you get sick" I said to him.

He sent silent, looking like he was trying to find something to say.

"Yeah I guess so" he said. "Okay so we should get started on this"

I nodded and looked down at his work. Some of the work was dated before we even started doing this play in class. He had obviously been studying this for a while now but he did say he liked the play. We discussed that yesterday and he agreed with most of the things I said about it.

"We should probably discuss in the presentation what we like the about the play. Why do we both like it so much and the discuss the characters" he said to me.

"Yeah that sounds good"

"If you need help with any of it then I will help of course"

"How long have you been studying this play? Some of this is dated before we started reading this play"

"I've been reading it for a while now. It's one of my favorites" he said to me.

I didn't ask him anymore questions. We continued to work and by the time the class finished we were almost done with it. JB knew a lot more about the play than I had originally thought. In every English class that we had he was pretty much falling asleep during it but that must of been because he already knew everything. The bell rang and I could hear people screaming and laughing as they walked down the hallway. I looked up to see JB'S friends standing at the door waiting on him. We went over and stood by them.

"Guys this is Taylor" JB said introducing me to the group.

"Hi Taylor, I'm the wild and sexy Jackson" said the boy with very light blonde hair that it looked almost white.

"And I'm Mark" said the boy with dark blonde hair.

"And I'm Yugyeom" said the boy with dark brown hair.

"And I'm BamBam" said the boy with darkish blonde hair.

"And I'm Junior" said the boy also with the dark brown hair.

"And I'm Youngjae" said the boy with darkish brown hair.

"Nice to meet you all" I said smiling at them.

"You've made quite an impression on JB here" Jackson said putting his arm around JB.

"Shut up" JB said smacking Jackson hard.

I chuckled at them.

"I got to go the class. Talk to you's later and see you after school JB" I said as I left them.

I could hear them quizzing JB for information on why I was seeing him after school. I was just happy that I didn't make a complete idiot of myself in front of them, God they were beautful. All I could think of was our date, where would we be going?
