Chapter 3

MASON'S POV

"Well Alpha and 3Rd, Luna Clare is just like we thought. Her body is perfectly stable and fine, her mind is running faster than normal but her thoughts will slowly level back to normal. Luna Clare is in a coma until she chooses to awaken until then I can get some blood and vitamin bags to take care of her body," Gummy told me and Jakeb but the news still did not calm our nerves.

"Ok, you can go now Gummy," Jake said dismissing her.

"I'll be right back with the IV and blood bag," Gummy then just disappeared after saying that to both of us.

I swear Gummy can teleport sometimes with how fast she disappears and reappears.

"Here we go, let me attach this real quick then I am out," Gummy said.

She connected the IV and blood to Clare then walked out, without a goodbye. I felt the love.

CLARE'S POV

My mother had put a barrier around her and my dad so they could talk.

'I wonder who their talking about,' Kearse (her wolf) said in her mind.

'Did you really just think that,' I asked her back through our mind-link and in the back of my head I could see her nodding her wolf head.

'They are talking about us, Kearse' I told her.

'Ooh, that would explain why they need the barrier.'

Then right as I was about to answer I heard my dad's voice speaking to me.

"Clare come with us, we have something to give to both you and your mates."

Dad walked ahead of my mom and I to this large room. In the room was two pedestals, one had a crescent moon carved into it and the other a sun.

"This room is as old as the 3rd Moon Goddess and Sun God. What I am about to give was made with magic by the 3rd Moon Goddess for her daughter, next in line to be the 4th Moon Goddess; this is the princess circlet," my mother told me, she started lifting up the circlet as she kept on talking,

"Nayla, the 3rd Moon Goddess, wanted her daughter's circlet to look like her owns but not so much that she would ever be mistaken for the current Goddess.

Once she was finished talking I saw the circlet and the first thing I noticed about it was how beautiful it was. The star layed in the middle of it and silver and blue jewels surrounded it.

One jewel hanged down from the star while the others connected to the sides. They met at a silver crescent moon that had another jewel hanging down from it. The circlet then went on in the same pattern around it to complete it.

I looked to the one my mom wore and saw that the difference between the two circlets. My mother instead of having a star in the middle had a moon and where the jewels on mine met with crescent moons, my mom's met with stars and moon's intertwined.

"Kneel down, Clare," she told me and I did as she said; "I place this on your head, my daughter, as a sign that you are to be the next Moon Goddess."

My mother placed the circlet on my head and I felt a surge of power. I just knew that I was stronger than I had been before now that I was named as the next Moon Goddess.

SELENE'S POV

"I place this on your head, my daughter, as a sign that you are to be the next Moon Goddess."

I placed the circlet on my daughter's head and felt a small amount of my own power lessen. When one Moon Goddess gives their daughter the circlet they give a small amount of power away to her. That is the way a goddess proves her love to her her daughter.

"It is your father's turn to give his gift," I told her.

APOLLO'S POV

Clare, come over here," I told my daughter and she followed my order and walked over to me.

I showed her the two rings that sat on top of the Sun pedestal.

"These rings signifying the future Sun God/God's. The rings break down into two parts one half showing half of the sun and the other showing stars. It signifies that the next Sun God is the mate(s) of the next Moon Goddess."

I wasn't looking at the rings as I told Clare the importance of them, no I was looking at her. She looked beautiful, I always knew she was next to be the Moon Goddess but seeing her with the circlet just brought it all to the surface. It made me realize that Clare was a goddess and her mates were going to be gods as soon as these rings were on their finger.

CLARE'S POV

"So you mean that my mates, Jakeb and Mason, are the future Sun God's," I asked , I couldn't believe it. It was just like wow.

"Yes but first you have to repeat the words that I say," dad said, "As the future Moon Goddess, Clare, and my mates are, Jakeb and Mason; I declare them to stand by my side. As my mates, Jakeb and Mason, I declare them to have eternal life as my life is bound to theirs. I declare them as the future Sun God's as I am the future Moon Goddess."

I repeated every word he said and could feel a rush of power roll through me and then leave in a flash to go to my mates. The rings then disappeared to find themselves the future Sun God's.

JAKEB'S POV

I felt power coming in to my body. I never felt anything like that before. I looked over to my mate and saw a beautiful piece of jewelry laying on her head.

I could feel so around my middle finger also and looked down. Their on my finger layed a ring I'd never seen before. Gold and black, the ring was made into two parts the gold part showing half of a sun and the black part showing silver stars.

"Hey Jake do you know what the hell is going on with the ring that just popped up on my finger," Mase asked coming in through the doorway.

He stopped when he saw the jewelry sitting on Clare's head though.

"What is up with that and this," he asked slowly.

"Don't ask me, why would I know," I asked him back.

"But I am betting it has something to do with her jewelry," I added in the end.

"Yeah it does, it means that you two are the next Sun God's and I am the next Moon Goddess," I heard from an angelic voice.

I looked over to see Clare slowly pulling out the needles in her arms and then all I could see was Mason's back.

"Move Mase, get on your side," I said to him.

He moved over to the other side of the bed and we both took seats next to our mate on the bed.

"How long was I out and did the pack go train any packs while I was out," Clare asked both Mase and I.

"You were out for a week," I said.

"And Jonah took a group to help one pack," Mase told her.

"Okay, so are they back yet," Clare asked us.

"No, but Jonah said he would be soon"

"Ok, well I need Jonah with me for the next pack, so if they call and he isn't here then we send in the 2nd best to take over for him," she told me.

"Ok, but when ---" Mason was cut off by the pack phone ringing.

"Let me go get that," I said and walked out of our bedroom and to the office to pick up the phone.
