CLARE'S POV
Her first day reminds me of ours at this hell hole. Introductions, slutty jealous bitches, and rude teachers to threaten. Just like our first day.
"Clare," said Jake, getting my attention.
"My bad I just completely zoned out."
"It's ok Clary," Mase says.
"You ready to g---"
His voice faded out until I no longer heard him, I know he is speaking but I couldn't hear. Soon I couldn't see him either.
"Son, how are things going. Are you okay out there," A voice says, it slithered more than spoke.
There's a room, I was outside it but the door was cracked open large enough to see one of the people inside. Jonah sat inside a large chair near a fire in the blood red and black room.
"Father, I am doing fine, so is cousin. I had no idea that she had twins," The father slithered out.
'Who is Jonah's father? Why is Jonah telling him stuff? Who is his cousin?'
'Son, be careful and safe. Your mother may not be here with us today, but don't forget she loves you. Just as much as I do.'
'She had to stay behind,' Jonah asks his father.
'Yes, a kingdom cannot run itself, Jonah' the father says
'Tell mom I said love you. Love you too, father,' Jonah then gets up from his chair and leaves.
'Neice, I can feel your energy, your power from where you are behind that door,' Jonah's father says, 'Come out Clarissa.'
I stepped into the room and finally saw him, Jonah's father. He looks exactly like an older version of Jonah. Yet he also looks like he just passed 20 years old, which is odd.
'Ah, look at you, neice. You look just like your mother, beautiful. I believe you have a younger twin sister. What's her name again?'
'Her name is Cameron. Who are you?'
'A God, one with fire and hell,' he says.
'Does that mean your Hades,' I ask.
'Hades, Pluto, Devil, Lucifer,' He says, 'You must go now as must I, us leaders are always busy.'
I woke up suddenly and thought of what I had just learned. It wasn't the past or future I saw, it was the present.
I spoke to Hades, who is supposedly my uncle and Jonah's father. I believe that would make he and I cousins.
I got up quietly and left in search of Jonah. I need to talk to Jonah, learn what he knows. I found him in his room.
"Jonah we need to talk," I say nervously.
"What's up, Clare," Jonah asks.
"Who's your parents, your father to be exact," I asked him.
JONAH'S POV
She's asked me the question I've been dreading. I wanted to tell her but never got the guts.
So here we stand facing each other, neither of us have spoken since she asked the question.
"Answer me Jonah," Clare says more forcefully, "Who is your father?"
"Hades," I whisper, I know with her super were hearing she could understand what I said.
"Hades huh," Clare says, "Like the God of the Underworld; like my uncle?"
"Yes"
"How dare you not tell me, your superior!"
CAM'S POV
I could hear my sister yelling a couple doors down from where I was and decided to be nosy and eavesdrop on her. I found her yelling at Jonah, her golden boy, her protégé. It always seemed as though he could do no wrong, yet here he is getting yelled at. I used my power to feel how she was, she felt betrayed, hurt, and angry; three emotions I've only felt once from her.
"I'm sorry, Clare-B-"
"NO!!! Sorry doesn't cut it this time. How dare you not tell me we're cousins," Clare yells.
"Clare-Be--"
"No only someone I trust can call me that," Clare says in a scarily calm voice, "And I don't trust you."
"Luna pl-"
"Come on Cam, let's go," Clare says and I froze.
It took me a moment to calm down and move again. I have no idea how she knew I was there.
"Oh hey Clare, I didn't see you in there," I said acting shocked to see her.
my head I was repeating the words 'Play it cool, play it cool,' over and over again.
"I know you were listening," Clare tells me walking down the hall, "I can feel auras, everyone's aura feels different."
