Chapter 28

CLARE'S POV

After our little detour, Jake and I took a bath while Mase got back to worrying. Although, I can say he was calmer now.

Now, the three of us are going down to eat dinner with my parents. I hope mother is cooking us some food!

"Mom, daddy," I call out.

"We're in the kitchen dear," I hear.

Walking into the kitchen, I saw it, Cajun Chicken Pasta. It smelled absolutely delicious.

"For us?"

"Of course it's for you. Come sit at the table."

We sat down and a few minutes later Cam, daddy, the twins, and Kenna joined us at the table. Mom served us and we started eating.

"I've made up my mind on how we're going to handle this problem," Mase says.

"Ok what's the plan, bro," Jake asks.

"We're going to fake a pack meeting to get everyone together, then I want Clare and Cam to read them. You think you can do that?"

"Shouldn't be too hard," I answer, "When we doing this."

"Right after dinner," Mase says, "I'm setting it up now."

AFTER DINNER

MASON'S POV

"Good evening everyone, I know that things are weird and awkward at the moment but now is the time to celebrate. I would like to officially introduce your Lunas sister, Cameron. Also we have the pleasure and blessing to be graced for the fact that we are in the presence of your Lunas parents. Allow me to introduce Apollo, the Sun God, and Selene, the Moon Goddess."

I allowed Apollo to go up and talk, stalling time for the ladies to do their thing.

"Thank you for welcoming me to your pack. My mate and I am honored to meet the pack that helps take care of our daughters. We are blessed and grateful for each and every one of you who protect and help provide for my girls thank you and have a good night.

I looked at Clare and Cam, they both nodded. Time to rap this up.

"Thank you everyone for coming and coming on time to the pack meeting. Have a good night."

We all stepped out in a line, each of us who knew the truth. We left as fast as we could.

We walked to the conference room and all sat down in our assigned seats.

"So, do you know who it is," I questioned quickly.

Clare, Selene, and Apollo all looked at one another.

They know.

"Who is it? "

"It's Lucian."

Fucking Lucian, I can't believe he could betray me like this.

FLASHBACK

Hey Lucian, come on!"

"I'm coming wait up," Lucian yells.

He runs up to us, his black hair flying in the wind and excitement running through brown eyes.

We're going to swim out by the river. Me, the twins, and Lucian.

I had decided to let Lucian be my third in command when we get older and I'm the alpha wolf.

While we're sitting down for a few minutes, the twins asked if I decided.

I told them who would be beta and third in command. While Lucian wasn't happy to be chosen to be third, he was okay.

I had my best friends with me, we're going to run the pack together.

FLASHBACK OVER

"What who's Lucian," Cameron asks.

"He used to be my third in command."

"Used to be? What happened," she asks.

"We met Jakeb and he was so skilled and used to be a beta," I tell her.

"So we decided to replace Lucian as third in command with Jakeb," Clare finishes.

"He wasn't happy but he said he understood why we were doing it."
