XI. Lisanna

"Mira-san?" Lucy asked Mirajane who nearly collapsed as soon as she entered the Guild. Her normally playful look was replaced with a crestfallen one. Her Ocean Blue eyes were full of unshed tears and looked a little red for some reason.

Behind her, Elfman looked at the floor looking as crestfallen as Mirajane was. His fists closed so tight that blood was flowing out of a unconsiously done wound on his palms. His lips pulled into a thin line while his eyes overflowed with tears.

The Guild was quiet. Even Natsu looked at the Sibling duo with a questioning look. "Where's Lisanna?" Beside him, Erza asked as she crossed her arms; already preparing herself for the worst that could happen.

Mira slowly shook her head, her long white ponytail followed her movements as she shakily moved her arms to Lucy's shoulders. "L...lisanna is! Lisanna is...!" She yelled, as if not believing the unspoken news herself.

Lucy became nervous as she felt tears fill her eyes, "M-Mira-san?"

Elfman collapsed onto his knees, not bothering to cover his face full of tears and snot.

"Oi, what's going on, Mira? Elfman?" Gray asked as he narrowed his eyes.

"I said it once, and I'll say it again: Where is Lisanna?" Erza demanded from the two, her voice loud and clear for all of the Guild to hear.

"Mira, Elfman, tell us what happened." Master Makarov said from the bar, his mug of beer laid forgotten beside him.

"M-mira..." Levy murmured as she pulled her arms to her chest, 'D-don't tell me... that... Lisanna is...'

"LISANNA IS DEAD!" Mira yelled out as she bursted into a sobbing mess. She kneeled down with her face hidden away from the guild, "I-I'm so sorry! *sob* I- I couldn't protect Lisanna!! I'm sorry! *sob*"

At that moment, for Fairy Tail, time seemed to stop. They couldn't hear the bustling noise of Magnolia's streets nor the loud yells of the playing children nor their scolding parents. They forgot that the sun was shining and the birds were singing, because for them, the world faded into black and white, with only one thing echoing in their ears:

Lisanna is dead

|1 week later| Magnolia Cemetery|

"Lucy, this is real, right? This is not a dream like I hoped it would be, right?" Mirajane asked as she cried under the pouring rain.

Brown eyes looked to the ground, tears mixed with rain as it fell to the wet grass. She shook her head as she croaked out, "Yes, I...I guess it is."

"...I see."

It's been two hours ever since they have buried Lisanna's grave under the merciless pouring rain. Yet, the guild remained standing, looking with dejected eyes at her tombstone.

None of them took it well. Everyone was a sobbing mess as soon as they heard the news a week ago. Some took it quietly like Erza, Levy and Lucy, who just bowed their heads and cried silently. While some tried to deny the news, and went wild inside the Guild like Natsu and Cana.

|Flashback|

"Y...You've gotta be shitting with me, Mira!" Cana yelled as she threw her bottle down to the ground and shattered into pieces.

"This ain't a joke, White Bitch!" Laxus roared as he pounded his fist at a table.

"Oi! Where. Is. Lisanna?!" Natsu yelled as suddenly appeared in front of Elfman, furiously shaking him back and forth.

"She's dead!!" Elfman yelled as he looked at Natsu in the eye. "And there's nothing we can do about it." He muttered.

"I...see." Master said.

|End Flashback|

"It's time to go home." Makarov said as he stood in front of everyone.

They nodded and proceeded to follow their Master's order, some more reluctant than others.

He watched as Lucy approached Mira and Elfman, "Let's go? Lisanna wouldn't like it if you two get sick." She said as she tried to usher the two home.

"I failed as a Father." Makarov said to himself as he looked at Lisanna's tombstone one last time before he turned around and walked away.

"Ohayo! Would you like some Strawberry Milkshake, Lucy?" Mira chirpped as she stood behind the bar.

Gone was her short clothes and long ponytail, and it was replaced by a smiling girl with Long- waist length white hair free from her usual ponytail. Her bangs were tied into a short ponytail exposing her forehead. She now wore a long red sleeveless dress and a pair of white flats.

"Eto..." Lucy blinked once.

Twice.

Thrice.

What is happening to Mira?

|2 hours later|

"Oh..." Lucy said as she looked at Mira, who had just finished explaining the reason of her sudden attitude change.

Mira smiled as she handed the blonde another milkshake, "It would be better if you keep it as a secret, Lucy." She winked.

"Sure!"
