"This is it!" Makarov grinned as he led the small child to the doors of the guild. "I must warn you though, there's no normal day when you're in this guild." He laughed at her hesitant look.

"But you trust them, right?" Lucy asked him as she continued to look at the guild. Even from the outside, her ears could hear the loud laughter from the people inside. She could smell the sickly scent of beer and smoke. But even with the atrocious smell and loud noise, it was oddly comforting to her.

Makarov grinned, "With all my life." He answered before he spread the doors wide open, "We're home, you brats!"

"Master!!"

Lucy was a smart child. Her ability to memorize words and stories immediately was one of the reasons her human mother loved to buy her books back when she was still alive. But honestly, it was getting tiring and annoying to remember the names of her new guildmates when all they do is yell nicknames and profanities at one another.

Thankfully, Erza Scarlet was kind enough to help her around. "That's Gray, Lisanna, Natsu, Wakaba, Macao, Elfman, Cana," the redhead kept on pointing around the people around them, "and that bitch right there is Mirajane."

Lucy blinked at the sudden vulgar word. "Erza - san?" She muttered as she watched the requip mage fly to the other end of the guild, courtesy of Mirajane.

"Oi, newbie!" Mirajane looked at her, "Don't listen to that hag - !" The so - called hag was promptly tacked to the ground by Erza, ensuing a pitiful cat fight.

Lucy frowned as she inched away from the gathering crowd and moved to the bar where Makarov was looking at her.

"How are you, my dear? It's a little rowdy, but it grows on you after a little while." He said as he sipped his mug of beer.

The blonde nodded before she sat on an empty stool near him, "Are all of them barbarians?" She asked him.

Makarov laughed, "More or less." was all he said before her attention was taken by a strange pinkette.

"Oi, is it true that your dragon disappeared on July 7, x777?" The pinkette, Natsu if she remembered correctly, asked her rather rudely.

"Yeah, why?" She nodded.

"Hey! Igneel also disappeared on that day! What if our dragons are together somewhere?!" He grinned rather excitedly. Natsu was so excited that he unknowingly made fire appear on his arms.

"I doubt that." She was an Ice Dragon Slayer, she disliked heat. She was tempted to blast the life - sized heater with snow.

"Eh? Why?"

"Frostdine would never be friends with such a hot tempered dragon." Lucy said as she crossed her arms.

"What's this?" Natsu grinned, "You wanna fight me, Luigi?"

The blonde flicked his nose, leaving frost across his nose and cheeks, "It's Lucy, not Luigi. Get it right."

Natsu laughed before he proceeded to tackle to blonde, ignoring her sudden yell. "Fight me, Luigi!"

'That's it!' Lucy was annoyed. Natsu was just too warm in comparison to the temperature she was accustomed to. "Ice Dragon's Roar!"

Gray laughed at Natsu, "Good job in sticking him to the wall, Lucy!"

The blonde blushed, "Sorry, Natsu. But you got to learn about personal space." She said as she watched Natsu burn out the remaining frostbites on his body.

Natsu grinned, "Nah, should've asked your permission before I tackled you."

"Idiot. Who in their right mind would allow anyone to tackle them?" Gray snorted.

"Snow Queen, fight me!" Natsu laughed as he tackled the Ice Make mage to the ground.

Lucy sighed and watched as a few snow flakes left her mouth. "I miss Frostdine already."
