"Ara Laxus-san, are you here to buy new clothes?" Lucy asked the older teen.

Laxus grunted as he skimmed throught the various clothing around the store, "I messed up a couple of shirts on my last job." He explained as he picked up a black shirt.

"Oh..." Lucy nodded as she nodded up and down, her hair following her movements.

"So blondie, what are you doing here?" He asked.

"You're blonde too you know. Anyways, I just need to buy a couple of shirts." She said as she looked at a cute pink shirt.

"Uh-huh."

"Laxus-san, that's a book, not a piece of food." Lucy scolded as she tried to pry off the older teen's hands from the said book.

"But this has lightning coming out of it." Laxus explained as he tried to bite a page off.

"It's still a book!!" She argued as she karate chopped his head.

"And it has lightning!" He shot back.

"Book!"

"Lightning!"

"It's still paper!"

"It's food to me."

"Laxus-san!"

"What?"

"Y-you barbarian!"

"...hah?"

"Freed?" Laxus asked Lucy.

"Yup, I saw Freed-san looking at you again." Lucy replied as she munched on a doughnut, lightly skipping on her footsteps.

Laxus frowned, "It's been what? One--- or two years ever since we made the Team."

"And you still refuse to hang-out with them, you're a very bad leader, Laxus-san." Lucy scolded the older blonde.

"I accepted their request to form a team for jobs not hang-outs, Lucy. You of all people knows that." He replied as he crossed his arms.

"Hai, hai~ whatever you say, Laxus-san. But, it won't hurt to have a little team bonding, wouldn't it?" She asked, trying to stop a grin.

"Yes. Yes it would."

"Mean!"

"I was being honest."

"At least try to be a team player!"

"...hah?"

"Mou~!"

"Oi, unto serious business, where have you been going?" Laxus asked as soon as he stopped walking, which was in front of Lucy's place.

"Huh?" Lucy asked as she tilted her head to the left, "Me?" She gestured to herself.

"Who else, idiot. You and Natsu haven't gone for a job since last week." He stated as he frowned once again, paying no attention to the soft breeze which shifted his clothes around.

"Who would go on a job on times like this?" She asked, her brown orbs narrowing in sadness as she leaned on her left foot.

Eyeing her up and down, he replied, "Both of you would. And Gray, and even Erza. So tell me, where have you been?"

Lucy gulped, "Like I told everybody, nowhere."

"Hoh?", Laxus sneered, "Is Lisanna's grave now called 'nowhere', Lucy?" He said, mentally smirking as he saw the younger blonde flinch.

"Please mind your own business, Laxus-san." Lucy stated.

"This is my business."

"It is not."

"Ever since I saved you, I told you to look at me like a brother figure. So technically, this is my business." Laxus explained.

"Well, aren't you the ideal brother?" Lucy whispered.

"You bet I am." The older blonde said. "So tell me, what have you been doing."

"Visiting Lisanna's grave." Brown eyes lowered to look at the pavement.

"Visiting her won't bring her back, you of all people should know that." He said.

"But I'm just visiting he-!"

"Visiting? More like wanting to stay by her side until evening. Don't even get me started with you looking for revival spells." Laxus cutted in.

Caught red-handed, Lucy gasped, "H-How...?!"

"Nothing escapes me. Let me get this thing straight before you do something crazy, The dead should stay dead. People alive should live to the fullest for their deceased loved ones. Plus, Lisanna's grave is empty, how the hell will you revive her?"

"But..."

"But nothing, Lisanna's gone, Lucy."

Laxus observed Lucy as she tightened her hands into fists before saying, "You thinking about leaving the guild?"

The girl stood silent, "That's pretty stupid of you. Leave the guild to find what? What will you search for?" Laxus started, "Or are you trying to escape this bullshit called reality? And one of those reality is not being there when Lisanna died."

"You don't understand!" Lucy yelled.

"I do. You think you could've saved her? A girl who was thousands of miles away from you that time? Use your head, Lucy. Even if you turn back time and save her, someone else would've died." Laxus stated.

Lucy looked at him dead in the eye, "I can try to save everyone!"

Laxus smirked, "You can't save everyone. No matter how strong you are, someone will always die for the life of another."
