Lewis was struggling and squirming around as Jack brought him out. "Ah..." Kent said with a sneer. "That was your brother isn't it? Well, he is dead!" Lewis's eyes widened. "Load them into the car. And if they do escape, then you've just been beaten by a couple of kids." Kent told them before sliding into the driver's seat and starting the car.

Katie hissed angrily when Graham shoved her in roughly. Katie and Lewis were both squashed in the middle of the two large burly men. It was certainly a tight squeeze.

Katie then felt fear. Why wouldn't the police come faster? What would happen if Lewis's family finds their two children missing? They would have felt heartbroken. Katie had no one to wait for her, except Aston and Alanna, who were both currently missing.

She glanced at her friend. He was quiet, staring at his fingers. She realized that they both weren't exactly normal 3rd graders. Meaning, they were both more matured. After all, he wasn't screaming and crying right now. Actually, if he did, Kent would slap him.

Kent, Graham and Jack were busy talking and swearing loudly. Kent had the window rolled down and he was smoking. It seemed that Jack had claimed he heard police sirens far off.

"Hey Lewis." She whispered. She doubt that the men would hear her. Lewis looked at her. "If it's not too personal, can I ask about your family? I mean, how are your parents and your family going to react..um, you know. You did find out all the personal spots of my wrecked family already..."

He shrugged. "I don't know Katie. My mom gambles, drinks and parties and my dad left us. Liam told me he loves us. He says he wants us to follow him but my mom beat him bad and threatened. I was 4, my brother 13. I've overheard Liam saying when mom's out our location and something about my dad still searching. He did marry someone else though. We move around a lot because mom's being chased by the people she borrows money from as well as searched by dad."

Katie leaned back. His family was just as wrecked as hers wasn't it? "I don't really care, though sometimes I look at my other friends being cared for and I feel envious and sad. They really got it good, but they want more. I want to find my dad. Liam promised me we would searched together..." Lewis's eyes welled up with tears. "I can't now can I? My brother is my world. He just tends to be lazy at night after his two jobs. He cares a lot. I don't really mind that I have to stay in the storeroom. The gas station has had two break-ins already in a year. Both times I was hiding in there. We always made it safe. Except this..." He trailed off, looking down.

Katie sighed. If they hadn't pulled up here, this gas station, then Lewis and Liam would still be fine. She wouldn't promise safety, working at a gas station at such a dark area, but Liam could live longer. Katie missed her sister and brother.

Police sirens made her jolt up. "F*ck!" Kent was repeating over and over. The car was accelerating and drifting. Kent didn't have time at all to roll up the window, but he did release the cigarette which disappeared out in the night. "MOTHERF*CKER KATIE!! YOU AND THAT USELESS ASSHOLE WILL PAY FOR THIS!" Kent yelled.

Katie shivered at the thought. Kent's paybacks were never good. Once, when she was 5, she accidentally poured coffee on Kent's oh-so-important newspapers and she was kicked out of the house. Literally. She went crashing onto the shrubs. Another time, Kent kicked her repeatedly with his steel boots. Katie had a scar (as of stitches) to prove it. This time, she didn't doubt it would be the worse punishment of all.

Everything was in slow motion. The car did a sharp turn, the tires screeched and the smell of burning rubber was emitted and the car flipped. All through this, Katie was screaming, as well as Lewis. She had slight satisfaction when she heard the men scream though.

Katie's head slammed hard onto the headrest of the car and she groaned in pain as she felt the gash. It was bleeding. Every part of her body hurt. She sighed in relief as she heard the police sirens nearing, and then completely shutting off, and then footsteps.

Her head ached and she felt dizzy all over. She could feel someone drag her out of the car onto the grass. She peeked open an eye and saw that a police officer was looking down at her with a concerned face.

She felt someone wipe the gash and put a cool icepack on her head. The police officer was calling someone and speaking in an urgent voice. Probably the ambulance.

"Can you hear me?" The same man asked her after tucking the phone back into his shirt pocket. She nodded. "Okay, I'm going to have to ask some questions alright? Overall, we know that we arrived at the gas station after a call by two children to see a black Mercedes pull out at top speed. Would you mind explaining more? It's okay if you couldn't."

The words processed slowly in Katie's brain. However, she knew they needed a full explanation now. If they knew about Aston, Alanna and Liam, they would probably call a search and they might be alive. If she said too late, there would be no chance and hope for them. She coughed and described the night. About the chase, the hiding, the fight, the gunshots, the robbing, the kidnapping, the high-speed drive, the accident.

"The boy with me. He said he wanted to find his father. Do you think you can find his brother...father...my brother and my sister?" She asked. "We are already asking details. How about you dear?" He replied.

She thought about it. "My name is Katherine Silver. I'm called Katie. I don't go to school. I have a neon green bear I left when Kent...or Robert...that criminal-" she felt a bitter taste in her mouth as she said the name. "When I was taken into the car. It's name is Nylon. It's my favorite teddy." She was probably rambling nonsense to the guy who wanted to hear stuff that's wasn't nonsense out of a nine-year old's mouth but now, she couldn't care less. "My last name is not really Silver. I'm adopted. I don't know my family. I think they abandoned me, so I don't know if I care or love them anymore. Alanna and Aston is the only people that care about me. We three aren't real siblings actually."

"Kent Midwest is that guy who adopted us cover name. He is actually Robert Kandsdov, murderer and wanted man. And that is his sidekicks, Graham and Jack." She spat those words out. She couldn't even bring herself to speak these names nicely.

She distantly heard ambulance sirens. The man had, she noticed, listened to her nonsense with rapt attention. "It's okay Katie. We'll help you." He said. Katie nodded before closing her eyes out of tiredness and pain and blacked out.

Comment your criticism and feed backs, I don't really mind. I need to improve after all.

Haha, I don't usually curse F words so although I can write that word out without * I just wanted to, in case anyone who knows me reads this...

Anyway, I originally wrote this in my phone's notepad but it was supposed to end with Liam lying on the gas station's floor bleeding, with Alanna and Aston missing. Lewis was supposed to comfort Katie while police milled around. And then Katie was going to say 'the line'. (In fact, Liam, Lewis and Aston's names were supposed to be some other names but I changed it...)

But that would be shorter and uninteresting and I finally got an idea! This story is going to end soon tho. And yeay, u gotta hear about Lewis's family background. How do you all normally write? Work bit by bit each day for a chappie? For me, when I have time/ wifi/ iPad to write, I just write out a chapter. I like writing on iPad, not comp, because I don't like people (who know me <family> )to read what I write. And that's a family computer in a place where there will always be a family member.

Bai! Now that was quite a long author's note...
