Walking on a pleasant but otherwise ordinary day
Along a route I knew and had walked before

To expand until I filled the sky
At once in my body but beyond it looking down
At one with all the universe
Filled with the glory of creation.
My life has taken twists and turns since then.
I've known pain and hurt, guilt and darkest despair
But I cannot doubt
That there is purpose.
