They say that you must love yourself
Be kind and give yourself a break
Before you can love someone else.
So here's to me, my own good health
For their advice I ought to take
Who say that I must love myself.
'Let all your doubts be firmly shelved
Forgive your faults for heaven's sake
Before you can love somone else'.
So here's a card I wrote myself.
Sincerely meant make no mistake
It says that I must love myself.
Heed this advice my mentor yells
'Your own advice you have to take
First love yourself then someone else.'
So here's advice for your own sake
From one who has a special stake
They say that you must love yourself
