I slowly get out of bed and walk towards the window. I pull the curtains away and leave them at the far right of the window.

The window is easily seen now. I stare up at the stars and think about each and everyone of them.

Until Mason comes up next to me. I turn to him and he looks at me back. I throw my arms around him and he hugs back.

"It's going to be okay," Mason said.

I sniff. "No it's not. Mom and dad are leaving and they might not come back," I said.

Mason sighed and pulled away. He held my shoulders firmly, but gently. "Listen, mom and dad love us and that's why they are doing this. They might not come back but we have each other, right?" Mason said with a small smile.

"Forever?" I ask holding out my pinkie.

"Forever," Mason promises and connects him pinkie with mine.

I open my eyes and turn my neck. But my neck immediately hurts.

I sit up and see that I feel asleep on the floor with Mason, we were staring at the stars.

Mason is still sleeping. I get off the floor carefully and stretch my back. It cracks and I hold in a giggle.

Sleeping on the floor is not fun. And I think Mason will agree on that too. I walk to my closet and pull out some blue jeans and a white shirt with two straps that go on your shoulders, I think it's called a tank top.

I put them on and my dark blue vest. I search for my boots under the bed and in the closet. I can't find them!

I look around the room once more and see them on top of Mason's closet. His is taller than mine, but not to much. I walk over to his closet and look at Mason.

He's still asleep, good. I go on my tipi toes and reach my hand out. I could barley touch them!

This time I jump up and reach out. The boots topple over on the floor. It worked! I quickly grab them and slip them on. I look up and see Mason standing there.

"Sorry for waking you up," I mumble.

"You could have told me you needed your boots," Mason said pointing to my boots and his closet.

I shrug. "I can do other stuff now. I'm five," I state.

Mason chuckles and walks over to his closet. I tell him that I'm going to the tailors with mom. And that he is going with dad. I leave the room and wander around the house in search of my mom.

I guess I wasn't looking where I was looking because I crash into someone. We both fall of the floor.

I look up and see Lucas.

He smiles at me but I just get up and walk away. But I guess Lucas wanted to talk to me because he grabs my shoulder and turns me around.

His blonde hair is messed up like he just woke up. And then I remember that I didn't brush my own hair!

"What?" I ask.

"Can we talk?" Lucas asks.

"No, I have to go," I said turning away.

But once again I get turned around by him. I shove him away and run away this time.

I run until I see my mom outside ready to go. I smile and run towards her. She smiles when she sees me and picks me up.
