"I'll be back. Just don't let her leave the bed," I said pointing at Summer and glaring at Mason.
It was midnight and Summer woke up, she ran to the bathroom and threw up. Now she's coughing so much. And I have to go find some medicine for her. Great.
I slipped my jacket on and pulled my boots on. I tied them quickly and ran downstairs. I pulled the door open, and walked out into darkness.

I coughed and wrapped my arms around myself. It was getting cold by the minute.
I was so close to the doctor, I could see its shop up ahead. I sneezed and out of nowhere, someone said, "Bless you."
I whipped my head around and saw nobody. I sighed quietly and continued to walk. But I didn't get far, before someone pushed me up against a wall.
I struggled and that only resulted in getting a slap to the face. I gasped and the person put my arms above my had and kept them there.
"Such a pretty little girl," The man said.
"Let. Me. Go," I said in the strongest voice I had, I hope it was strong enough.
He smirked and took a step towards me so he was barely an inch apart. "Why would I?" He whispered.
Think Autumn. Think!
I brought my knee up as hard as I could and watched as he fell to the floor holding his 'part'. He was letting out a string of cuss words, and I just stood there.
He soon got up and walked towards me, limping. But it was already too late to run. But I tried anyways.
I only got a few steps before I got yanked back by my hair. My breath hitched in my throat as he threw me on the wall.
I groaned and slid on the floor. My back is stinging and me head hurts bad. That man crouched and tilted my chin so I was looking up at him.
I was about to open my mouth to say something, when the guy was ripped off me. I gasped and saw as he landed on the floor. I hugged my knees tight and shut my eyes. You're okay. You're fine.
I heard grunts and the sound of some bones cracking. Then it went silent.
I didn't realize I was holding my breath until someone said, "Autumn? Are you okay?"
I opened my eyes to find Jacob, he eyes were filled with concern and he reached out to hug me. I instantly jumped into his arms.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you," I whispered quickly into his shoulder. His arms wrapped around me in a secure way.
"Now, can I ask why the hell are you out here in the middle of the night?" He asked once he pulled away and helped me up. "It's not safe at all and you come out here to do what?"
His voice had a bit on anger in it. I stared at him and saw that he was angry. "I'm sorry I was-" I didn't finish and he took a step closer.
"Why do you care so much for me?" I asked, wrapping my arms around myself.
Jacob put both hands on each side of my face and said, "You want to know why I care so much? Autumn, are you seriously asking this question right now? You haven't even noticed every single thing I have done for you? Are you that dense?"
His words hurt me, but I didn't show them. I pushed him away and I felt anger rise in me. "Yes! Yes I want to know why you care so much! After all you have done, I don't even know what to think about you!"
