Chapter Three: Unfaithful

11 Years Later

"He what?!" I screamed.

"He did it again, with Victoria," Summer said. "They're actually at the beach."

I fumed. Again?!

I ran out of the house with Summer right behind me. How could he, again?

I ran through everyone in the town. I was avoiding all the people trying not to accidentally tackle them.

But luckily, they moved out of my way. I started to run faster towards the beach. I am going to break up with him, I've had it!

I guess I was thinking to much because I bumped into a hard chest. I fell on the floor and so did the person.

I heard glass shatter and I instantly became guilty. In front of me was a boy around my age and a crate, with broken pieces of what used to be bottles.

"I'm so sorry! I was in a hurry and I didn't see you and..." I trailed off as I studied his face.

He looks so familiar... Then it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I'm still on the ground. "Hey! You're that kid from the blacksmith!" I shout.

He gives me a lopsided smile and stands up. He sticks his hand out and I take it. I stand up and he says, "Yeah, I'm that same kid."

I smile back and then remembered about the box he was carrying. "I'm so sorry," I said.

"Hey it's okay. We all make mistakes right?" He said.

"Can I least pay for them?" I ask hoping he will say yes.

But he shakes his head. "It's okay. Don't worry," He said.

I stick my hand out. "I'm Autumn."

He shakes his hand with mine and the touch of his skin sends tingles through me.

"Jacob," He replies.

We stare at each other for a while until a cough snaps us out of our daze.

Summer!

I let go of his hand and face her. "Do you still want to go?" She asks referring to Lucas.

I nod and turn back to Jacob. He was looking at me with his head slightly tilted.

He still look cute- what? You just met him!

"Listen I have to go but maybe we could see each other another time?" I suggest.

Jacob nods and says, "Sure."

I smile at him and say bye. And then me and Summer are back to running again.

We reach the beach in a matter of minutes. I catch my breath and stop when Summer points to someone in front of me.

I've had it with him!

I walk to them and stop in front of them. I cross my arms over my chest and wait until they're done.

Who am I kidding? Just ruin their moment.

And I do.

I grip Lucas' shoulder and turn him around to face me. He looks shocked for a bit and then scared.

That's right, be scared of me.

"Hey! Rude much?" Victoria said crossing her arms.

I glare at her and she shuts up. I turn my attention back to Lucas.
