Unexpected fate...

Sung-jo's POV

Hani was stumbling as we walked inside our room. I went inside ahead to switch on lights for her. "Hani...are you alright? Is your night blindness becoming worse???" I asked her. "No...I'm alright...I'm just tired" she told me with a tired voice.

"You look like a mess...how can you be so reckless... You are not at all looking fine hani... MinAh was right you are looking tired... Are you alright? I think you are..." She dossed off before I can say anything.

"Hani...how can you be like this... I can't see you like this... My heartaches...seeing you like this" I kissed her on forehead and tucked her inside blanket.

When I woke up hani was not there. Mom told me that she went to hospital already. When I reached hospital I saw her walking into Dr. Kim's room. I went near by the door and heard... "Yes I know...I'm doing wrong. But what can I do...its love" she said with a blush.

"I think you should leave sung-jo and be my side. I can be your best partner..." He said. Hani...say that you love me...only me...you can't be with him...say that you are mine...only mine. I thought inside my mind. But she said breaking my heart "I think you are right... We make a good couple..." I can't hear anything more so I went to my room.

How can she say something like that...she always said she loved me more than anything. Now she says she is more compatible with him...how can she say that... I was fuming with anger and was not in a mood to work. So I took a day off and went home.

Hani woke up earlier, she was so eager to know about Dr. Kim. She called him but someone else picked up and told her he was at hospital. So she went straight to hospital even before sung-jo woke up.

She rushed into Dr. Kim's room to see him sitting exhausted. "What are you doing here Dr. Kim. You should take rest" hani said. "Hani... Why are you here...so early? You husband will be tensed he will came running over here" he said with a mocking tone.

"That can happen" she said with a smile. "You are doing wrong towards Dr. Sung-jo. Don't make him a henpeck" he said. "Yes I know...I'm doing wrong. But what can I do...its love" she said with a blush.

"I think you should leave sung-jo and be my side. I can be your best partner..." He said. "I think you are right... We make a good couple...but what to do I already have my love by my side" she said with a smile.

Suddenly she started feeling uneasiness and fell unconscious. When she woke up she was lying on hospital bed. "Hani...how are you feeling now?" Jae-kyung asked. "I'm alright... But what happened to me? Why am I here?" Hani asked in panick.

"Congratulation hani..." Min-jun and hea-joo barged into room along with Dr. Kim and sung-min. "Congratulation?? For what?" Hani asked. "Hani... You are pregnant... Almost 3 weeks" Dr. Kim said with a fake smile. "I'm pregnant..." She said caressing her belly.

Sung-jo's POV

After taking leave from hospital I went for a long drive. I was not in a good mood to talk to my mom. So I went inside my room without having dinner. I heard sound of shower from bathroom confirming hani's presence. 'I should confirm everything tonight...' She came out breaking my thoughts.

"Sung-jo... I wanna tell you something important. You will be elated to hear it sung-jo. I'm..." He grabbed her by waist and hugged her tight. "I don't wanna hear anything. Don't say it to me
..." I was not ready hear that she is in love with someone else.

"Sung-jo... Just hear me out" I kissed interrupting her words. I should confirm everything... If she loves me or not...I should know it... Sorry hani... I laid her on the bed and kissed her harder. She proved me wrong reciprocating my advance... I felt happiness. But it was only for some seconds. She suddenly pushed me away.

"Sung-jo I can't do this... because I'm..." I interrupted her "you loves someone else...you love Dr. Kim? And you are going to him...?" I snapped at her. "Sung-jo... What are you saying?" She asked me with tears in her eyes. May be because of pity towards me she is crying.

"You were so close to him right? You are even ready to spend a night with him... Then go and live with him... What are you waiting for? Are you still here because you pity me?" I vend all my anger upon her through Sharp words. She went inside bathroom and closed the door behind.

I could hear sound of water from bathroom... She may be laughing at my condition sitting inside bathroom. I went outside to have some fresh air and got an urgent call from hospital. I rushed to hospital and attended the patient. I was about to go home, when I saw Dr. Kim coming towards me.

"Dr. Sung-jo... I wanna talk to you" he said. "I don't want to hear anything" I turned around to go. "Sung-jo... You are really lucky to have hani by your side... She really loves you more than anything...she carries you inside her heart...now inside her body too..." What he said really shocked me. "What are you saying?" I asked him.

"Didn't she told you about..." He asked eagerly. "About what... being in love with you" I snapped into his face. "Sung-jo... What are you saying...she only loves you... Do you know why I came here? I came here to take revenge from you. We used to be in same class..."

"Because of you...I was always 2nd in place. You always made me pitiful in front of others. I lost my first love because of you...because she liked you...because you were first. I was only 12 years old... But humiliation made me work hard... I went to states for studies and came back to take revenge" he said.

"Sung-jo... When I came here I met hani... I was thinking about using her as pawn against you. I realised that you loved her a lot. I was planning to take her away from you and make you go crazy. But when I got closer to hani...her innocence attracted me, she even take care of me and unknowingly I fell in love with her"

"But she proved me that she only loves you. That day when she came to my house...she was only talking about you. Still I had a hope, but... Today you scored above me. I can't do anything now...she was just a wife until yesterday but now she is a mother to be" he said

"What are you saying...?" I was shocked about what he just told me. I asked again to confirm what I heard. "Hani is pregnant with your child. She was feeling uneasiness whole day and fell unconscious. After checkup its confirmed that...she is 3 weeks pregnant" his revelation shocked me. I rushed towards home with my whole strength.

When I reached home everyone was asleep. Hani... where is she...I ran upstairs. She was not there, then I heard some sound from bathroom and door was locked. I broke the door and went inside to see an unconscious hani in a pool of blood.

"Hani...wake up...what happened? Hani....wake up... hani...I'm sorry... Please wake up" My sound was stuttering as I held her and called her. "Sung-jo... What happened?"mom, dad and eunjo came running hearing my voice. "Hani...she is unconscious... We should take her to hospital" sung-jo took her in hands and rushed her to hospital.

"Sung-jo... Don't worry..she will be alright" mom said spatting my shoulders. "Dr. Sung-jo... Hani is out of danger now... But...I'm sorry she lost the baby" gynecologist came out of ICU and informed me. The news of loosing our first baby...fell on me like bomb explosion.

"I killed my baby...I'm a murderer... Bloody murderer... I had a doubt that she was carrying... But I never said her to take checkup... I never asked her to take care...being a doctor... I was too reckless that...I caused my wife to have a miscarriage" I couldn't do anything...but to weep my sorrowful heart out standing outside ICU.
