Lauren

It was bonfire time. I twirled around in potential outfits, before I opted for jeans with a gaping whole on the left knee cap, a shirt that had the outline of a moon on it and a choker around my neck.

Zayn had texted me that he was in his car waiting whenever I was ready. I slipped my phone into my back pocket, spritz myself with my favorite perfume that Zayn's complimented me on and headed outside. I scurried out to his car. He smirked when I got in. I smiled pushing a strand of hair out of my fave and began buckling my seatbelt.

"Have you ever been to a bonfire?" he asked as he pulled out into the street. I nodded. "I'm a Miami girl, so you can say I've been to my fair share of bonfires. What about you?" I asked.
"One. I was drunk and don't remember much at all," he laughed. "I just remember a fire."
"You were still there. That's what counts for something," she laughed.

It took what felt like forever to get to this Ronald Dorsey's house. Partially because Zayn kept going the wrong way. I told him, "let's just use the gps," to which he replied, "I'm not lost. I've been there once." I think he's lying or this is the time he was drunk and he wasn't the one driving.

Needless to say, we eventually got there. Ronald Dorsey's house was like the size of Zayn and I's house... put together. I was impressed.

"So, what you went to school with this kid or something?"
"Yeah. His house is insane. He never really had friends so he made up for that by having all these parties and stuff." I nodded. I knew a few people like that.

I guess I just won't know what the inside of Ronald Dorsey's house looks like because we had to go around to the back which is where everyone was. His backyard was BIG. I stood close to Zayn's side as he greeted people he used to go to school with.

Perrie spotted Zayn. She was with Jade and rushed over to us. "You guys made it! Lauren this is Jade, and Jade this is Lauren." Jade shook my hand and stared at me for what felt like a while. Her big eyes were squinting, like she was trying to figure me out.

She pointed at me. "I met you at Sophia's party." I smiled and nodded.
"Yeah. I just didn't wanna say anything in case you didn't remember me," I laughed.
"You should have told me you guys met," Perrie said.
"It was brief," Jade said. I nodded.

I started thinking back to the spin the bottle game and how she and Liam got partnered up and Sophia freaked out. It all made sense now.

"I'll let you guys have your girly moment. I'm going to chat," Zayn waved us off. I gave him a look, it was saying, are you seriously going to leave me here?

"You don't think this is weird?" Jade asked. She glanced at both Perrie and I. I had a feeling about what she was refrencing, but I acted confused. "Huh?" Perrie asked.
"You know.. You and Zayn, and now her and Zayn. It's not weird? It's not like you and Zayn ended on a bad note, and now you're all here together."
"Jade. You know that I've moved on and clearly Zayn has too. We're good. of course it was a little odd in the beginning, but it's cool. She's so nice and ridiculously beautiful."
"Aw, thanks. You are too." I still found it kind of weird, but I kept that to myself.

I glanced around hoping for Zayn to come back any second. He was far in the back with a drink in his hand talking to some red haired fellow with very skinny legs. It's not that I didn't like Perrie or Jade, I just didn't know them well. I had nothing in common with them that I knew of besides Zayn.
