chapter 16: the others

"oi everyone! attention! this is zhang yixing, our new head choreography" chanyeol yelled out when he and yixing walked into a crowded lunchroom.

"hey! I'm jongdae, wait...have we met before?" the guy with the high cheekbones walked up to yixing.

"yes, i met exo on their concert" yixing said quietly

"really now~" jongdae nodded. chanyeol interfered;
"he danced with us, remember?"

"oh right, you're the wonderboy jongin told us about, right?"

"jongin is kai, the guy who dancer with you at the concert" chanyeol patted yixings head comfortingly. "he's not good with names and we all have double names, it's all very confusing. go easy on him~" he explained to the people crowding around yixing and him.

"I'm sehun" a tall guy introduced himself with a smile

"and I'm zitao or tao, pleased to meet you~"

"tao? where did i hear that before....wait a minute..."

"yeah. zitao, lulu and yifan left the band some time ago, but we fixed it" chanyeol smiled

"right...baekhyun cried for days and days..." yixing mumbled

"really?! who is baekhyun?"

"he's his boy friend" sehun replied before yixing could. "we met him, while lulu and yixing were meeting up, remember?"

"boyfriend?" a short guy frowns. yixing hadn't even seen him yet.

"no, boy-friend. friend who is a boy" chanyeol sounded from behind yixing.

the short guy smiled at yixing now, and he returned it.

"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name?" he bows towards the short guy, but said person's smile disappeared quickly following that statement.

"...you don't remember me....." he says with a calm face, expressionless as far as yixing could see.

"uhm..." yixing said

"as i said, he's bad with names-"

"i didn't say he should've remembered my name, i just wished he'd remembered my face..." the guy looks down at his shoes and moves away from yixing.

"luhan~" chanyeol frowns, "is everything okay?"

"luhan" yixing nearly whispered. he liked the word...luhan...luhan....it sounded familiar to him. like he'd carried it with him all his life..

luhan must've heard him even though he whispered, because he immediately turned around and looked him in the eye.

"i was just-" yixing stuttered

"just...- ugh" luhan suddenly walked out of the room and into the hallway. the door made a loud bang noise.
