chapter 12: delve

After that interesting meeting of parties,  Yixing went to stay the night at Baekhyun's.

the next morning, they discussed the matter again at breakfast. Baekhyun kept to his point that it was no coincidence they were there at the same time, and even if it were, yixing's reaction to seeing him was not a normal one either. Yixing himself did not agree, though.

"-but the way you looked at him!"

Yixing merely shook his head and went on eating his breakfast.

When they finished, they got into Baekhyun's car and drove back to Yixing's place. after 30 minutes of listening to nothing but EXO, yixing was happy to get out of the car.

Jenna opened the front door before he could put his key in and she seemed hyper and excited about something.

"an email has arrived for you, yixing~"

"oh really?!" baekhyung came in from behind yixing and seemed just as excited as jenna. "let's see who it's from...~"

jenna and baekhyung exchanged knowing looks, but yixing silently walked towards jenna's laptop that was on the kitchen table and sat down.

"are you not excited?!" baekhyun gripped his friends shoulders and shook them, but yixing shrugged. It was probably nothing of importance and he didn't understand the big fuss that everyone was making about it.

finally the thing finished loading and a short silence fell when they each read the name it was sent from.

SM entertainment

"SM ENTERTAINMENT SM ENTERTAINMENT SM ENTERTAINMENT" jenna started screeching but baekhyung had gone even further and started bellowing the name of his favorite kpop group through the small kitchen.

yixing's hand shook as he clicked the mail and it opened.

"Dear mr Zhang,..~" Jenna started reading aloud and yixing was pushed aside, he fell off his chair onto the floor and stayed there, still in shock.

"i would like to invite you for a job interview as choreographer for our company. please respond as quickly as possible if the date at the bottom of this message is free in your agenda. i very much look forward to meeting you,

a silence fell over the kitchen, yixing was still lying on the floor and baekhyun and jenna were gawking at the laptop. they were all speechless.

"i-i can't believe it...-" baekhyun stuttered

yixing slowly got onto his feet again and sat down on one of the kitchen chairs.

"but...that's tomorrow?!" jenna suddenly yelled

"what is?!"

"the interview! oh my god yixing!"

"well there's no time to loose! we need to get you a suit! you need to practice! you need a haircut! you need to prepare! you need to-..." baekhyun and jenna started running around the kitchen and yelling, and yixing stayed put on his chair. staring at the wall, still shocked.
