The next morning Yixing got up, went to take a nice warm shower and got dressed.

On Monday he worked at a law-office so that was where he was heading to.

when he turned another corner he saw the building appear and about 10 minutes later he arrived at the huge gates

all his colleagues and bosses had large cars and would simply drive to the gates and they'd open, but since yixing didn't have a car, he entered via the tiny door in the wall next to the gates. it was originally used when there was a fire but he had gotten permission to use it on a daily basis.

he walked passed large groups of fairly intelligent and wealthy-looking people and took a turn left to the staircase

his job wasn't a very big job nor a well-paid one, but yixing was glad to have it.

he arrived at his floor and slowly made his way through a group of giggling receptionists, finally he was able to walk into his office space when...

"uhm, excuse me? can i help you?" yixing frowned at a guy from about his age that was sitting at his desk...

"i..don't think so? no, thanks though" the guys smiled and went on unpacking the box on the desk

"sir, this is my desk. you're using my desk."

"ooh~you're the late/last worker. yeah, they gave your job to me, didn't you hear?"

yixing gawked at the guy, who started to feel a little bit uncomfortable

"hey...why don't you go talk to your late superior?"

Yixing looked at him one more time and then slowly turned around to the hallway

he knocked on the door 3 times

just like he had done for 5 years.
5 years he had worked there.

"yes, come in" he heard his boss'
voice.
he opened the door and stepped inside.

"oh...uh.. Yixing, right? Zhang Yixing?" his boss was uncomfortable too. but why? he hadn't done anything wrong, had he?

yixing simply nodded

"well, you might have noticed...a slight change of plans..."

"you fired me. why?"

the guy rubbed his neck and laughed an empty, joy-less laugh.

Yixing wasn't the type to get angry easily, but at that moment he thought it would feel good to take that glass of water and slowly pour it all over those important looking papers on his boss' desk.

.
.

he opened the front door of his house with his key and put his stuff down at the bottom of the stairs.

his tummy rumbled so he went to the kitchen and saw some roommates having breakfast.
that's right, he got up really early this morning.

coffee did sound really nice right now...
