Part 14

Levi, Mikasa, and I ate dinner in silence. Levi and I would exchange glances of dramatic irony occasionally and Mikasa just ignored our behaviour.

"So, Eren, I didn't see you in math today," she said.

"Yeah, I went home sick," I answered.

"Levi drove you?" she asked.

"Yeah. He stayed with me to make sure I was okay," I said. Mikasa nodded in disbelief, without verbally denying what was said. Levi finished eating quickly. "Eren let's go to my room," he said.

"Okay just give me a minute. I need to eat," I said. "Should I bring my food then?"

"No, I have some food in my room. You can eat that if you're still hungry."

"Okay," I said.

"Have fun you two!" Mikasa called, and winked as we left the dining area. Levi rolled his eyes and gave Mikasa the finger.

Levi closed the door behind me, and I sat on the bed. He walked up to me, for once being taller than me, considering I was sitting. He grabbed my chin. "What a fucking cockblock she is," he chuckled. Levi smirked and so did I.

I stuck my hand down Levi's pants, spontaneously. Levi slapped my face. "Shitty brat, you had your chance. That's no longer available...for now," he said. I removed my hand.

"Well, let's go back to watching the movie," he said.

"Sure," I said.

We, again, settled under the blankets. Levi put his arm under my neck, holding me gently. I felt my heart jump and my stomach fill with butterflies. The way he held me made me feel so emotional, and grounded. I loved it.

For about 4 hours, we peacefully laid in bed, watching the movie, and then cuddling. I think Levi fell asleep. When I felt his soothing, soft breaths hit the back of my neck, I closed my eyes. They became heavy.

When I was at the brink of rest, I heard a loud musical tone coming from my phone. Levi sprang up. "What the fuck is that?" he said.

"My phone. My mom's calling me. Be quiet as I answer this," I answered him.

"Hello, mom?" I spoke into the phone.

"Hi, honey. Where are you?" my mom asked.

"I'm at Levi's," I responded. She paused.

"Oh...Okay. Are you going to be home tonight?" she asked.

I looked at Levi. He shook his head and pointed at the bed. "Uh...no, I won't. I'll sleep over here."

"Okay. I haven't seen you in forever, Eren. You're my son, and I'd like if slept at home sometimes," she said.

I looked back at Levi. I mouthed "I'm sorry, I have to sleep at home tonight". He looked down. I felt bad. He looked back up and mouthed, "It's okay".

"Mom, I'll sleep at home tonight, then. I feel bad for leaving you alone."

"Okay, Eren. Thank you, honey. I know you'd rather be with Levi. It means a lot to me." She hung up.

"Well, I guess it'll be another sleepless night," Levi sighed. I kissed him. "I'll be back soon," I said. Levi shrugged his shoulders. "I should get going soon. It's already pretty late now."

"Okay," he said.

"Don't worry, I'll be here tomorrow," I said. I gave him a long kiss. "Okay then. Bye, Captain," I said, walking towards the bedroom door. He ran up to me and kissed me one last time. He had to stand on his toes. "Bye, brat," he said, as he smacked my butt.
