"They're coming this way... how much longer must we wait master?"

"Patience. Don't rely on your gut feeling Mosh."

Mosh, acknowledging Vilofante's advice, knelt back down to the beautifully paved roof of one of the buildings.

Mosh was a female Enpamork. Enpamork's were humanoid creatures from the north Crackal rocks. She looked rather similar to a human apart from the pointed ears, her size, her slightly scaly legs and her purple fluorescent eyes.

"Beltrax should be evacuating at this very moment." Mosh said looking back at Vilofante.

Vilofante looked at her.

"I do not doubt Beltrax but it is not safe to assume... not yet anyway." Vilofante stood up and peered over the edge of the rooftop.

"How strange that the Binary have not arrived yet... you'd think with such an event as this they would not dare miss it."

Mosh got up and stood next to Vilofante. "Maybe the Binary have not found us yet. Maybe this evacuation is all for nothing."

Vilofante glanced at her briefly before being interrupted by a sudden shudder.
Mosh fell to her knees. "What was that?!"  She said getting back to her feet.
They could see thick black smoke rising from a couple of blocks behind them. Vilofante grabbed his crossbow which was leaning against one of the three chimneys on the rooftop.
"Let's go Mosh!" Vilofante leaped to the top of the roof and then leaped out of sight.

Mosh picked up her backpack and followed. She scrambled up to the top of the roof. Gazing over she saw Vilofante was already 3 rooftops ahead of her.
"For the Goddesses sake..."  She said struggling to slide down the roof.

Vilofante jumped down, landing on the street tiles. The smoke was directly ahead of him now, seeping out of a buildings broken windows. The street was deadly quiet. The only sound was a wind chime slightly swaying in the breeze. He slowly made his way to the building. Reaching to his belt he pulled out a small double sided blade.

Suddenly there was a bang as something shot past his face, narrowly missing his head. Vilofante jumped to the nearest cover, a tipped over cart. He reached back for his crossbow and got out the bolts. He stood dead still waiting to hear something.

"Master."  A soft whisper came from behind him. Vilofante turned around.

"Mosh! How glad I am to see you!"

"What do we do master?"

"Stay here Mosh."

Vilofante dashed across to a wall on the other side of the street. Mosh carefully observed what he was doing. Vilofante then knelt down and peered around the corner of the wall. The silence continued. Vilofante backed down behind the wall once again. He looked at Mosh and dashed back across the street.

Vilofante looked worried. "The Binary are here! I'm not sure where but the way the building has been attacked, it's definitely Binary!"

Mosh got out her shortsword.

"What now master?"

Vilofante loaded a bolt into his crossbow.

"Let's go!"
