The Bean floated towards a sphere, a sphere like no other. This sphere was blue and green and had white patches all over! All the years that the Bean had been drifting out in the abyss, it had never seen such a sphere like this one. As the Bean got nearer to the sphere it started wondering what it would be like. The Bean could not wrap it's head around it, because, firstly this Bean had no head, and secondly, the Bean had only ever experienced the darkness of space.

Mylene lay down in the long grass, the night was approaching and still no Beltrax. She didn't want to leave the tree just in case he came back. The birds stopped chirping and the fresh jungle air turned stale. She looked into the starry sky, stars she had never seen in BlewBurrow were everywhere. She concentrated hard onto one specific star that appeared to be moving. It's impossible she thought to herself, stars don't move. But this star was far brighter than the rest and seemed to be getting closer.

The Bean was so close now. So very close to the sphere. There was a warm feeling on the underside of it. The Bean suddenly went up in flames as it got faster. The flames did not seem to burn the Bean away, it just brought warmness to its hard skin. It was so, so close now.

So very close...

Closer...

Closer...

Part of the Bean's flames extinguished as it passed through one of the white patches.

Mylene stood up and began to run. The star was so low now that she could see exactly where it was going. She climbed over logs and tredded through long grass. The star passed through a cloud, the star becoming dimmer. She continued to run after it trying not to trip over vines and the rugged terrain. The star passed through another cloud almost completely dissapearing from Mylenes sight. The star was now under cloud cover and was nearing the treetops.

The Bean was so low now, it could touch the leaves of the treetops. The Bean descended smoothly until it hit a branch, spiralling out of control. The Bean was spinning so fast it could only make out green and blue blurs. The spiralling stopped as it hit the ground, leaving a basin of dirt on the jungle floor.

Mylene leaped through the trees and into the massive crater created by the star. She looked around and saw nothing. She was confused until she saw a small fume of smoke. She followed the trail of smoke down to a small, orange, kidney shaped stone. It smelt of burnt cinnamon and gave off a very slight ringing noise. Mylene's fingers pinched the orange stone up. She cradled the stone in her palm, it was still warm. Mylene gazed into the shades of orange on the stone, it was almost like it was calling to her. She slipped the stone into her pocket and started walking. She stopped, realising she had no idea where she was going.

She was lost...
