First of all I want to thank everyone for keeping faith in me (hopefully) and want to say sorry for not uploading for so long. I hope I'll be able to do so more often.

Also I want to let you know, before anyone gets confused that I changed Ashley's mates name from Daxen to Aden.

I hope the chpater is ok. Please vote and comment.

Thanks and sorry again!

 Chapter 20

Walking into homeroom I was greeted by the chatter of my classmates. Yesterday we had gotten pretty close and decided to stop making homeroom horrible, when it could be good. We also decide to stick together… it’s not like any of us still had other friends.

Looking around I saw my new friend Ginger waving at me, who turned out to be the girl I talked to after coming out of Mrs. Wolfe’s office. I quickly waved back to her, before walking to the back of the room to occupy my usual seat. Even though we had all been to our first pack meeting now, we still didn’t know what this class was going to be like truly and we didn’t want to risk anything.

“Ah nice to see you my little Canis,” Mrs. Wolfe greeted us cheerfully as she walked into the room. “It’s nice to see that you’re finally communicating with each other, but today we don’t have any time for that. I have much to explain.” With a wave of her hand she shushed us just as the bell went off, beginning the period.

“I’ll try to make this as quick as I possibly can.” She smiled beginning her explaining.

“So as most of you have probably figured out by now, this homeroom is only made up of werewolves. This is because in your first year of your changing you mostly go through the same problems. Some people have more, some have less but you all have the same type of problems, like losing your old friends, having to keep secrets and just the frustration of not knowing what’s going on. Of course then there are the people who also have to deal with a move, the loss of a family member… next to their change, which makes it that much worse for them. This class was made so you can discuss these problems and most classes usually catch on, but sadly that wasn’t the case here. You just all kept to yourselves.”

“I told you guys.” Kristina stated loudly, trying to get herself out of the awkward situation.

“Anyways,” Mrs. Wolfe continued not even batting an eye on Kristina, “it’s time that I revealed the other reasons. If you look around you will realize that most of you have your mates sitting in this room at this moment. Those of you who haven’t found your mates, or don’t know who they are shouldn’t worry though, because in a girls case her mate is probably older and in another class, in a boys case his mate is going to be younger. As soon as you or any other wolf realizes who your mate is and tell us the two of you will be moved into the same home room.”

As soon as Mrs. Wolfe said this my thought floated to Aden, who was supposedly my mate. I hadn’t even heard of him till now so I was really interested in what he was going to be like. This class was going to turn out the exact opposite of what we had expected it to be originally.

“This little detail is important because homeroom was made for the group of you to get to know your mates, make new best friends, and well write any homework you forgot. Also if you feel your wolf creeping up on you are allowed to shift in this room, but only this room. Because of this you will be allowed to come and go to your homeroom class freely, but don’t go off telling the humans. They still aren’t allowed to and won’t ever be allowed. Next to this every one of you will also have to attend wolf school which starts next week.”

As a reply everyone groaned and some people even asked if we had to go. Mrs. Wolfe just chuckled at us.

“It’s for you own good.” She smiled, before her face hardened. “But we’re still not done yet. It’s my job to tell you to stay away from the humans. They aren’t as mentally or physically strong as we are, but they will sense if we’re different from them and will get to the bottom of things, which could lead to our race’s exposure, which could lead to our deaths, us being used or what they would call World War 3. This would be horrible for us because we are here to make peace, not war. All I ask is that you remember this. Now you are free to talk.” Mrs. Wolfe concluded with a sigh.

“What if we just revealed ourselves?” Max asked her.

“Well then we’d either be killed or made show animals and workers, slaves.”

“But why, they easily write books about us.”

“Exactly, in an imaginary world they are fascinated by our kind, but if they found out we’re real they would be terrified.”

“Why would they be terrified if they already know about us?”

“Because to them, we’re a source of entertainment that they wish existed. If they found out we really do exist, instead of putting those crazy volunteer people on TV to watch their lives, they would put us on, or they would get scared from our power and kill us. You just don’t know what to expect from them. I mean not one of us expected World War 1 or 2. It’s like they have a passion for killing, death and blood, they just don’t know it.”

“Wow, so a few weeks ago we thought we were humans and now we have to hate them?”

“No, that’s not what I meant. Humans are really nice people, but you have to watch what you do and say around them to keep our race safe. You shouldn’t hate humans.” She cleared up.

“So they’re good people, but it’s best to be careful around them.”

“Yes, and if your mate is a human, which is pretty rare, you need to ask for special permission to be with them and instead of doing the usual mating ritual, you have to do the alternate ritual. There your human mate gets to chose if they just want to live with the pack and guard our secret, or if they want to become a werewolf. Usually they chose the second.”

“That’s so cool,” Max smiled.

“I thought we couldn’t turn humans into werewolves. Does this mean we can?” Kristina interjected with the question I wanted to ask too.

“We aren’t able to, after the ceremony the spirits are able to grant this so the werewolf and human can be together, but of course they must earn this.”

Everyone nodded in reply, but as silence elapsed on the room everyone started looking around. My eyes immediately found Aden’s and he smiled at me, his light grey eyes gleaming as the sunlight reflected off of them. They were almost white at times, completely camouflaging into the rest of his eye. His light colored eyes contrasted perfectly with his dark black hair. He looked so exotic, like a person we would only see in our dreams. Getting to know Aden was going to be great.

“Alright, I won’t hold you guys up any longer.” Mrs. Wolfe told us, and with that the room was filled with such a big gust of wind from our fast movement, that all the windows slammed shut. When the bang of the impact echoed through the room we all froze, looking at each other in shock. When we confirmed that nothing happened we burst out laughing at the fact that a few windows could scare us. Our laughters sound was so calming, pure and natrual it was amazing. We should have become friends ages ago.

I was going to love this class.
