My Only True Love

Chapter 9

                     Nellie woke feeling Sweeney embracing her and kissing her forehead. "Good morning Nell." Sweeney said. "Good morning my love." Nellie said while Sweeney pulled her hand up to touch his cheek. "How did you sleep my love?" Sweeney asked. "Just fine dear, how did you sleep?" Nellie asked. "Just fine." Sweeney answered. "I'm glad, you've been 'avin' trouble lately." Nellie said.

"Nell go out to the kitchen, Toby has a surprise for you." Sweeney said. Nellie smiled wide. She went out in to the kitchen. No Toby. "Hm." She thought. "Mum turn around." Toby said smiling. She turned around to see Sweeney down on one knee.

"Eleanor Lovett, will you marry me?" Sweeney asked. Nellie had tears of joy running down her face. "Yes! I will marry you!" Nellie exclaimed with joy while Sweeney slipped the ring on her finger and kissed her passionately on the lips then pulling her into an embrace. She has wanted this for so long. Now she has it. Sweeney loves her.

"Nell, I'm also buying a new house." Sweeney said. "It's about time we've gotten away from this ghastly place. Where?" Nellie asked. Sweeney smirked hoping she would get his drift this time. Nellie's eyes widened. "Are you getting a house by the sea?!" Nellie exclaimed with joy. Laughing at her reaction Sweeney replied: "Yes." Nellie couldn't help but smile and wrap her arms around his neck. "I love you so much!" Nellie exclaimed frantically kissing his cheek. Sweeney was loving her reaction. He thought it was adorable. Sweeney spun her around and they both shared a laugh. "Mum, are you ready to do dishes?" Toby asked. Toby could only roll his eyes playfully at what he was seeing. "Mum!" Toby called. "Oh! Y-yes dear, let's go do the dishes." Nellie said kissing Toby's cheek.

"Mum, after dished may I go play with my friend?" Toby asked. "Of course you can dear." Nellie answered kissing Toby's cheek.

Toby went out to play with his friend but he had some new friends. "'Ello Thomas!" Toby exclaimed with joy. "Hello Toby!" Thomas exclaimed as the two shook hands. Toby noticed the boys behind Thomas were snickering. "Wot's funny?" Toby asked.

"Lovett's funny! She's insane." A boy said. "Don't call my mum that!!" Toby exclaimed. "She is." The boy said. "No she's not!" Toby exclaimed. "Wot does she put in her pies?" The boy asked. "Meat." Toby answered. "I'm going home."

Toby came home with a sad expression on his face. "Wot's wrong love?" Nellie asked. "Thomas' new friends called you insane." Toby said. Nellie's eyes widened. "Are you alright mum?" Toby asked. "I'm fine, dear." Nellie answered.

Nellie was not insane. In fact she prevented Sweeney from losing his marbles. Anyone who knew Nellie deep inside knew she wasn't a 'bad' person. Toby and Sweeney knew that well. She is a kind and caring soul, but she is a bloody wonder and Sweeney loved her to death for it.

"Mum?" Toby asked. "Oh, sorry love, just lost in thought." Nellie said. Toby kissed Nellie on the cheek. "I think you need some rest mum." Toby said. "Maybe my love." Nellie said. "Go get some rest mum, you need it." Toby said wrapping his arms around Nellie's waist. Nellie ran her fingers through his hair and smiled sweetly at him. "I love you so much Toby, your a little angel." Nellie said kissing Toby's forehead. Tony smiled sweetly at her and motioned for her to go to her room causing Nellie to roll her eyes playfully. She swore to God that Toby was to sweet for her to handle. Which he was.
