PJ led as We walked down the street a little ways until we got to a path that went back into the woods. Our heads protected from the sun by a thick green layer of tree canopy above us.

He stopped me and pointed to a clearing in the trees with a charmingly calm creek running next to it right inside the tree line. PJ showed me to three tree stumps right next to the creek. Two as a place for each of us to sit and one taller one between us that acted as a coffee table.

"Your seat Mrs. Montoya." He said motioning to one of the three tree stumps.

"Why thank you Mr. Liguori." I replied as I sat down.

PJ sat down across from me on his tree stump and pulled off his shoes and socks.

"What on Earth are you doing?" I said laughing at him.

"Did you think i was going to bring you all the way down here for us just to sit around?" He said as he rolled up his jeans.

"That's a good point, Well I suppose I could join you." I replied as I slipped of my converse and my socks.

I pushed my jeans up my shin and began to watch as he attempted to get in the water.

"Your feet cold yet?" I asked making my way down to the water to join PJ.

"A little! The water is actually quite warm." He joked.

"Are you sure your not pulling my leg?"

"No, I promise it's warm!" PJ joked again as he splashed me a little bit.

"Oh! So we are splashing now? You're on Liguori!" I replied sending a wave of water at his chest. "I grew up in this. Don't underestimate a woman from the south!"

"Never!" He giggled and moving towards me with two hands cupped full of cold water. "You're going down Al!"

We splashed around at each other for a few more minutes until we were both soaked in creek water. Our jumpers clinging to your chests like they had been glued on.

"C'mere you!" I said trudging towards PJ "this is not over quite yet boy!"

"You wouldn't dare!" He yelped as I grabbed his shoulders and pushed all my weight onto him causing us both to loose balance and tumble into the cool flowing water.

"I won!" I said giggling and reaching for my beanie that had fallen into water as we both sat up.

"Don't be so sure!" PJ shouted as he tackled my body into the cold water as he landed on top of me as I franticly pushed onto his chest with my hand.

His body would have crushed me if he didn't support himself by the one arm he propped himself up on next to my head.

"Oh Alice, this reminds me, will you do me the honor of being my Girlfriend. I know he have kissed before and all that but I wasn't quite sure what to call us?" He asked nervously.

"I would love to be the girlfriend of the most charming, nerdy, handsome, and most creatively talented man on the face of the earth!" I cooed.

"Well I guess I just going to have to go find him and fight him so you can be my girlfriend." He giggles trying to look serious.

"No, that means you stupid!" I said leaning foreword to kiss him.

"Oh, Thank God! I thought I was going to have to kill a man to get to you," he said in his big deep voice kissing me.

"Let's get home. My fingers are starting shriveling up. In no time we will be living raisins!" He said rolling off of my small frame.

We got out of the creek and started to put our shoes and socks on, still dripping wet. We started back down the long path through the woods as I tripped on a root tree that was slightly above the soil, sending me flying off my feet and onto the muddy path with a quiet yelp.

"Oh god! are you ok?" PJ said, as he helped me up. "Are you limping?"

"Just a bit, I think I'll be fi—OWCH!" I yelped as I attempted to walk again.

PJ stopped and knelt down to the level of my legs. "

"Woah! Woah! Hold on! What hurts?"

"It's my knee." I replied as tears started to roll down my cheeks. "I have bad knees already! I think I can make it back."

"No way! I got you, love." He said as he stood back up straight, turning away from me, "Jump on!"

He carried me back "piggy back style" all the way back home. It had gotten dark and we didn't bring a phone or any type of light so we tried to make it back fast. PJ ran down the narrow path dodging branches and jumping over rocks and roots. Unlike me, he was quite swift and could make my ride as comfortable as possible until we arrived at the front step of our house.

"You got the keys?" He asked jokingly

"Well, shit!" I replied looking down.

"Just kidding!" He said pulling his keys out of his back pocket and jingling them around.

"You little—" I said laughing.
