Chapter 14 (safe spot)

-Meanwhile in Alice's point of view-

I ran out of the front door, still in tears, and ran out to my car. I unlocked it and threw my body into the drivers seat, started it, and sped off. I drove around the outskirts of London and out to Danny's house.

"Danny?" I called her still in tears.

"Hey Alice wha-"

"Are you home?" I cut her off.

"Yeah what's up?"

"I'll tell you when I get there."

"Um ok see you then, bye!"

"Ok bye" I hung up.

My red and puffy eyes started to water as I pulled up to Danny's house and turned off my car. Danny sprinted out of her home as I closed my car door, she must have been looking for me.

"Alice!" He hugged me. "What the hell?"

"Hey Danny" I whimpered, tears still spilling from my eyes.

"What was that about?"

I broke down, still in here driveway.
"PJ" I managed to spit it out. "It's PJ!"

"PJ?" She looked shocked. "What happened? Did he disappear again?"

"Yeah, And I had a anxiety attack and flipped out and we yelled and I-"

"Let's go inside. It's starting to rain." She cut me off.

We went inside and sat on the couch.

"Continue." Danny instructed.

"I have to stay awa-." My phone rang, cutting me off.

It was Sophie.

"OH MY GOD ALICE WHERE IN HELL ARE YOU? PJ IS FLIPPING OUT!" She shouted clearly threw tears.

"Wait-wait hold on! What did you say?"

"It's PJ! He's coming to get you. I think he knows where you are!"

"What how would he kno- oh." It hit me. "He knows about my safe spot."

"Your what?"

"My safe spot. My therapist told me to have a place I could go if I flipped out. He knows mine is at Danny's. That's where I am now." I stared to shake, my body weak, hands cold as ice. I couldn't move. "PJ" I hung up the phone.

"Al, what the hell is going on?"

"It's PJ, h-he is coming for me" I whispered.

I need him. Now.

I started to shut down, A mental cloud covered my mind. My since of knowledge was gone. I stood up and started pacing around Danny's living room.

"Al, do you need anything?" She said nervously.

"YES I NEED PJ!" I yelled "I HAVE TO TELL HIM IM SORRY!"

I bursted into violent tears once again and ran outside into the rain. My tears mixed into the droplets of flowing water on my face.

I collapsed onto the grass and managed to call out for him threw my tears. "PJ. PJ. I need you. Come back. I'm sorry!"

All if a sudden a taxi pulled up and PJ jumps out and sprints to me, throwing his frame onto the grass, next to mine. He grabbed my body and pulled me close.

"AL! I'm here! I'm here! It's ok!" We whispered in my ear. "we're together now"

"PJ! I'm so sorry. I-I can't begin to expla-" his lips interlocked with mine. Sweet taste of him filled by body with hope.

"I love you Alicia Grace Montoya. And I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left like that." He joined me in tears.

"It's alright! I'm sorry I yelled at you." I cried

"I'm sorry I disappeared."

We were still laying in the rain in Danny's front lawn.

She sat on the porch and watched silently for a little bit and then she went back inside and left us alone.

Eventually, we got up, PJ and I danced around in the rain until the sun started to dive down into the skyline.

"Ready to go home princess?" He whispered in my ear.

"Yes please." I answered "I feel like a wet dog."

"Alright, Let's tell Danny we're going home." He said linking our fingers together.

"Ok babe." I took off running, pulling him up to her doorstep.

"Bye Danny! We're going to go home now." PJ said as Danny opened the door.

"Thanks D!" I said and hugged her.

"No worries guys! My yard can be your stage any time!" She sighed. "Bye guys" she closed the door and we got into my car and PJ drove us home.
