10(ish) years later

Pete Wentz walked down the street. He hadn't gotten much sleep last night and he really, really needed coffee.

Thankfully he found some before he passed out and was staring at his phone and tweeting about it as he walked back to his house. He wasn't looking where he was going and then the next thing he knew his coffee was spilled all over himself and someone else.

The girl looked up in shock. She was slightly smaller then him. She had long wavy blonde hair that fell past her shoulders and sea green eyes.

"Oh no-no I am so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going and I didn't want to be late for work and-" she was rambling. Pete smirked. She had a really hot British accent.

"Hey don't worry. It was my fault too. I was on my phone. I'm P-"

"Pete Wentz? Ya I got that. No but seriously I am so sorry. This not a good start to the day. I just dumped coffee on the bassist of my best friends favourite band."

"No seriously it's not your fault."

"But-"

"And your name is...?"

"Katie."

Suddenly Pete heard his ringtone go off. He looked down to see Patrick's name light up the screen.

"Sorry I have to take this. But Katie, if you really want to make it up to me you can come to dinner with me tonight. You know, if you want."

"But I don't have your number- you know in case you cancel."

Pete looked down at his hands. In one hand he was holding his vibrating phone and in the other, his squished coffee cup. And he didn't have a pen. And by the looks of it, either did Katie.

"You know that new place that opened a couple of weeks ago, two streets away?"

"Ya, I think I do."

"Meet me there at 8. I promise I'll be there."

"O-Kay."

"Great, see you later Katie. By the way, love your accent."

"Thanks Pete!" (...)

Pete gave a small laugh and answered the phone. He walked away, turning around once, to see the girl he just met, still standing there dumbstruck. He smirked back at her.

He saw that a few other people were staring and he stayed smiling until he looked down and realised he still had coffee dripping down his top. And he still hadn't even said anything to Patrick.

-------

Later that night

--------

"And where are you off to Wentz?" Joe asked Pete as he saw him walk towards the door.

"Ya isn't it past your curfew?" Patrick joked.

"I'm going out."

"But I thought we were all going to stay in and watch Avengers?" Andy looked up at Pete.

"Well you guys can. I have a date." Pete opened the door.

"Awwwww. Pete Wentz has a girlfriend!" Joe shouted.

"She's not my girlfriend. I just met her this morning. I spilled coffee all over her and then I asked her if she wanted to go out for dinner tonight. And besides! You have a wife."

"That's different. I can't help being the only one of us whose married. Did she know who you are?" Joe asked.

"Ya, she was all over the place, but in a cute way. She said Fall Out Boy was her best friend's favourite band or something."

"Okay cool."

"Can I go now?" Pete asked. He was already running late.

"Yes you may." Patrick moved his hands elaborately towards the door.

"Bye then," Pete ran out, but he heard Joe shout something about using protection. He rolled his eyes.

--------

"H-hey. I was starting to worry you'd forgotten," Katie smiled at Pete as they walked into the restaurant together.

"No, I'm sorry. My friends were being annoying."

"It's okay."

A waiter came up to them and showed them to a quiet part of the restaurant, to a seat by the window.

"So, Katie, tell me about yourself."

"Ummm...." Katie looked down at the table, "I'm not really that interesting."

"That can't be true."

"Well...my last name is Chastity. I've been living in Chicago for the past 2 months with my friend. She's the one who I said about Fall Out Boy being her favourite band. I-also like your band..." She said sheepishly.

"That's good to know," Pete grinned.

"She went crazy when she heard about this morning. I'm surprised she isn't standing outside the window, looking in on us right now," Katie laughed.

"What your friend's name?"

"Lotte."

"And does she have a hot British accent too?"

"You think I have a hot British accent?"

"Only the best."

"Thanks...but no she's from Chicago. That's why we moved here together. She wanted to come back...get in touch with her...uh...roots," Katie sighed, looking out the window.

"What does that mean?" Pete wondered why she was suddenly acting like this.

"Nothing...I shouldn't even be talking about this with you," Katie turned back to her date and smiled, "but enough about other people. I want to hear more about you."

Pete shot her a confused look, but decided to drop it. Whatever about this Lotte person, tonight was about him and Katie. But maybe he would find out more about her, later.

Hey! So I know what you're thinking; "this is supposed to be a Charlie x Patrick fan fiction. Not Katie by Pete!"

And yes, I know. I promise this will all make sense soon(ish).

Anyway, hope you like'd it. Xx
