Chapter 26:
"It's really difficult for me to tell you guys this," he sneers.
"You've been hiding something from me?" Allie says with an annoyed tone.
"I don't want you mad at me," he shakes his head, driving us on unknown property that was far out of city limits.
"Well you need to tell us sooner or later," she whines.
"Uh.. Um, ok," he pulls himself together, "I'm just going to tell you this all at once. Harry and I were part of a gang back in the day. These men are after Harry, but.."
"What?" Allie puts her hands on the sides of her head and rests her elbows on her knees. "You were in a fucking gang?"
"Yes but-"
"Why the hell are they after you?"
"The gang that we were in was enemies with the Dragons, that's the name of their gang. Harry was the head of the special ops department in our group, he was sent to kill the Dragons' leader." Louis scratches the back of this neck.
Harry has killed a man? I had no idea he was ever that kind of person.
I couldn't believe my ears, I wanted to wake up from this nightmare.
Allie couldn't put the whole idea of Louis and Harry being in a gang through her head either.
"Harry killed someone..?" She is in complete shock.
"Harry and I have a really bad past.." The regret in his voice was obvious.
"Louis I'm so scared, so so scared." Her voice cracks.
He ignores a tear that rolls down his cheek, "I will protect you, nothing will happen to you."
"Where are we going?" I blurt out abruptly.
"We need to help Harry," he runs his fingers through his hair.
"What about Cyndi and Zayn?" I say loudly, I was practically yelling.
"I don't know.. They might have gotten away."
"Wait, what about us?" Allie's voice was shaking dramatically. "What is going to happen to Elizabeth and I?" She yells.
"We can't just leave Harry to die.." Louis quietly mumbles.
"What are they going to do to us Louis?"
"I don't know, probably question you."
"What if they torture us?" I question him.
"I, I don't know." He rubs the side of his face.
"Oh my God." Allie pauses, "You can't take us here."
He starts crying harder. "I don't think you understand how hard this is for me..."
"What if Harry isn't even there?" She says.
Louis pulls over, then turns around to face us, "I need to find out!" He yells.
His face was red and wet with tears, my stomach ached and I felt so desperate for help. I was terrified of what awaited us.
