35: Sirens

Chapter 35:

Harry crunches dead leaves in his fists, trying to stand himself up. The beat of my heart was gaining speed and I felt faint. My inability to understand what might even happening left me bewildered and confused.

Hailey stood behind me, wrapped in the blanket awkwardly. "No, Rebekah don't." She shook her head at her, "this isn't a good idea."

"What the fuck did you say?" Louis aimed his gun at her in suspicion. I backed away from her in fear of what would happen next. Cyndi whines in anticipation as the knife Rebekah threatened her with grazes her neck slightly, but doesn't slit her skin. "Hailey shut the fuck up!" She smiles at Harry in an evil yet sarcastic way.

"No stop!" Harry screams, wincing in pain as he tries to stand again, "I will do anything..."

A motor cycle skids around the rusty car, coming to a stop. Everyone's eyes glance in it's direction. The man on the bike doesn't even bother to take off his helmet as he moves our way, pulling out his gun. Who could this be? My mind wonders. "Get the fuck off of her!" He kicks Rebekah in the side and she dropped the knife in the grass, grabbing her side as Cyndi jumps up immediately, running towards Harry, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Liam.

The voice was Liam's.

He quickly pulls off his helmet, throwing it down at Rebekah. She squeals and tries to block it with her hands as she stumbles back. "That was a big, big fucking mistake," Liam points his gun at her, "trying to pull something like that on my friend."

Ashylnn tried pulling me into the van, but I pushed him off. I needed to see what was happening. "I don't want you traumatized." He says.

"I already am!" I glare at him, "don't fucking touch me."

I don't give a fuck at this point. Allie was still missing, Harry's leg is cut, Rebekah has Liam aiming his guns at her, and Louis also had Hailey at gun point too. Crazy shit was happening, and it has me wanting disappear.

Everything is put to a sudden stop and everyone looks up and around as sirens sound throughout the air. It wasn't police sirens or anything of the sort, they were city emergency warnings. They sound almost like tornado sirens except louder and more obnoxious.

"What the fuck?" I say aloud.

I look back to find Ashlynn grabbing the ropes that Rebekah had previously been wrapped up in, and yell something at Louis and then Liam that I couldn't hear through the sirens. Next thing I know, Louis was tying up Hailey and Liam was doing the same to Rebekah.

"We have to go," Ashlynn grabs my arm, pulling on the blanket.

"What's going on?" I try to yell over the sirens. I'm not sure if her heard me because he didn't even look at me, he just continued pulling me in the car.
