Chapter 45:
I bounce in Liam's and arms and snuggle my nose in the crook of his warm neck, my hot breath reflecting back into my face. "I'm so tired," he mumbles.
I smile toothlessly and moan in kind of a whiney way, "mhmmm.." Liam snickers with a deep tone and my stomach flutters with butterflies.
"Awe.."
He chuckles again, "What is it babe?"
"You're- It's just-"
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing.." I laugh, "There is absolutely nothing wrong, for once... That's why I'm happy."
The crunching of the gravel underneath his feet stops and Liam slowly let's me down to the now concrete sidewalk pavement. I turn around to face a beautiful water fountain that sparkles with glistening lights that shine from beneath.
"Why are you so happy?" He smiles at me.
"Because we're like.. safe. I feel safe."
His smile slightly fades but it returns with a little of a comforting twist to it, "Liz, we aren't that safe, I mean.. We still don't understand why Louis' bike is missing or who took it, and we still have to get Allie back." He sits on the edge of the fountain and pats down on the ledge, motioning for me to sit by him.
"I just feel safe with you," I can feel my face go red and I try to hide it but he notices me blushing.
He puts his arm around me and I lean into him, whispering to me with his soft lips to my ear he says, "That's all I'm here for, to make you feel safe." He smiles cheekily and looks into my tired eyes.
I nuzzle my nose closer to him breathing in his usual husky cologne that made my ovaries explode. He turns his head back slowly and looks at the fountain. The drizzling water reflects into his eyes and they sparkle like diamonds.
"Well, maybe we should go inside.." He starts, "I'd love to just sit here and talk but it's freezing, so uh.." He thinks, "Maybe tomorrow morning?" I nod and he smirks at me, "Wow, how can you even stand to only be in a blanket? It's cold as fuck.."
"Haha," I giggle, "noooo waaay." I laugh sarcastically. His eyes get all squinty and his teeth disappear behind his curved lips, pulling into a warm grin.
A/N: Oh hey guys, sorry this chapter is short and it took me awhile to update EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY PROMISED YOU I WOULD UPDATE MORE AND I LIED BC IM A FUCKING DICK... I promise now... I will update more. Plus, it's Christmas vacation so yay.
