Chapter 43:

Anticipation flows through every inch of my body, sending shivers down my spine. I look through the windshield, and my jaw drops. I'm astonished by the looks of the gigantic building.

Cyndi and I exchange surprised looks, both of us in complete awe, as the car inches up to tremendously large gates. This place was securely guarded by men with red bandanas and frayed leather vests. Liam has an identical vest in the back of his closet back at his apartment, I recall, pushing the memory off to the side.

"This place is.." I start, noticing Louis' mouth curve outwards into a cocky smirk.

"I know," he chuckles, "impressive, yea?"

"Very," I smile, looking over at Cyndi as she nods in agreement.

She gives him a questioning look and asks, "How did you-"

"That's not something we need to talk about," he winks at us playfully.

I glance at Liam who is eyeing the mansion through his window, "You've made quite a few changes since I was here last."

"Yea," Harry agrees, "It's quite a bit fancier here now, and a whole lot bigger."

The car pulls onto smooth pavement and whips around a wide fountain which sits directly in front of the entrance, it glows and sparkles with light, illuminating the surrounding area. We turn off onto a rocky path that curves around the edges of the fence. I notice light poles that imitate mushroom tops that seem to shine down upon a lightly glowing garden.

"Wow," Liam whispers, "it's changed so much," he says, while smiling like a little kid in a candy shop, "it's so- it's just- wow... It's beautiful."

The car rolls up to what appeared to be a very large and spacious garage. Cam clicks a button on the roof of the car, and the garage door slides open. The wide concreted space was filled with cars and motorcycles.

Looking over at Louis, I suddenly notice his handsome smile fade. His expression switches to a surprised and angry frown.

"What's wrong Louis?" I ask.

I look ahead, curious of what had ruined his mood. The garage had no open spots, except for one. Lou groans furiously. "Where's my bike?"
