It had been long since I've been here,
Been haunted with the past,
Back when lyrics and poetic lines,
Are where your shadows cast,
I used to dream of you each night,
Still longing for your face,
Like how the sky reach out for stars
Beyond the grasps of space,
The wound of you had been agape,
Too deep to fill with skin,
And healing was not possible
When you keep coming in,
And there'll be times when I almost
Thought I'm over you,
But like the waves that come clashing in,
You washed yourself anew,
But then tonight have shifted,
Beaming a different sky,
And sure I am still my old self,
Donning a brand new smile,
For now the broken had been mended,
The wounds did fade to scars,
The moon did hang just quite the same,
Laughing along with the stars,
And maybe I still sing your songs,
The ones that used to leave me blue,
And maybe I'm in love again,
But never, not with you.
