Let us not walk lightly, these cobblestones
We'll run the town as if it's our own
With cricket sounds and passing cars,
The moon's our escort in chasing stars
Let us not speak lightly, this same old talk
Forget our pretenses, it's time to unlock
The night will cloak us in shreds of black
The promise of tonight, please don't take it back
Let us not laugh lightly, the truth behind jokes
The world's in our hands, we'll carry its yoke,
But first as night falls, the world's ours to scout,
Before it's time to say good night again -
Time to leave our hearts out
