Both of us had grown to be
All the things we're not
Though not akin, it's all the same
We're sisters, though not by blood
Each of us at present still
Growing as before
And I won't mind as long as I
Have you, that's for sure
But I know, there will come a time
That growing meant apart
And though we are against all this
We must, at once, take heart
For it might be a pain, my love,
That we can't get to choose
But I would dare to know all hurt
If it's you that I would lose
As just the sound of your heartbeat
Could already keep me sane
And my darling, you ought to know
Missing you, I can't feign
But through it all, we'll testify
Together hand in hand -
That sisters we'll forever be
Just because we can
This is for the wonderful person I hold dear to my heart. I know that you look at me as a mom, more than a sister but this poem, I can't dedicate to somebody else but you. I miss you already. :(
