I've placed my vision in those eyes of yours for I thought that it is only in your perception that I would see in dulcet luridness. I've let your string of words well up in my throat, thinking it would be the only tether from my soul to the world. My heart, it would be where you'd place your hand saying, "this would be my hiding place." Every atom of my body, the constellation of my thoughts, the Milky Way galaxy that is my love; all of these I will offer to be your universe.
I've wanted so much of you in my life, and so much of me in yours that I've let the air from your lungs be the breath of my existence. And as I fought to be what I am for you, I've slowly drifted away like Pluto from the Solar System - from who I am for myself.
