*** I apologize if for some reason this is chapter 2 or the next one is also chapter 3. Wattpad is making duplicate drafts of each chapter and then publishing/updating both? Idk, it's messed up. As long as it's not deleting them...and that probably jinxed me. Anyway...***

I'd say that after everything we've been through together, Edmund didn't really need to be as shocked as he was. I mean, we faced an army together, looking quite terrified as we stood side by side, but this boy in front of me now looked like he was about to puke.

And there were no Telmarines. (Caspian doesn't count.)

"So, uh, it's been a while..."

I must be the ice queen because this boy is frozen.

"Clarisse..." Edmund finally managed to mumble something. I nodded my head back at him, plastering on an awkward smile.

"Wassup?" I'm honestly drawing a blank here- what do I say to somebody I left?

"You... you didn't? You're not dead? You left instead?"

"Come now, LEFT is sorta harsh, I mean I didn't LEAVE you I just... I. I didn't join my cousins. I wasn't thinking straight..."

"So you left." Edmund sighed, obviously hurt. I sighed, too. It WAS my fault, no denying that.

"Edmund, I'm sorry." There was nothing else for me to say at this point. He just shook his head.

"I can't believe I thought you liked me." My gaze shot back to his, ice meeting earth.

"I do! I do like you, Edmund!" Edmund scoffed and finally sheathed his sword.

"King Edmund, actually." I frowned.

"Edmund... we're friends..."

"Stop addressing me informally."

"Edmund! You can't be serious right now!" Edmund turned and stared off into the vast whiteness.

"Oh, COME ON, Ed!" He whirled around and glared at me.

"Highness, Your Highness," he snarled, "it's what you are to address me as now. Or not at all. I'm not sure if I wish to speak with you again yet. Get out of my head."

My mouth gaped open. How rude! I know he's hurt but honestly.

"You insufferable-you ignorant-ARGH, you prick!" I sputtered out, marching up to him. I smacked the back of his head, making him yelp in surprise.

"You!" Smack on the arm. "Awful!" Smack to the chest. "Butthurt!" Smack to the head and stomach. "Boy! How dare you not even LISTEN to me!" He caught my hands and held them so we were face to face.

"YOU HAVE NO GOOD EXPLANATIONS!"

"I- YOU WOULDN'T KNOW THAT BECAUSE YOU WON'T EVEN LISTEN TO THEM!"

"I KNOW YOU! I CAN TELL! I KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE SOMETHING STUPID TO SAY!"

"YOU ARSE! I-I HAVE PERFECTLY GOOD REASONS...YOU DON'T KNOW ME THAT WELL!"

"OH, BULL! YOU WERE JUST TOO WRAPPED UP IN YOUR OWN MISERY TO EVEN THINK ABOUT ME!"

"..."

"That's it isn't it?! I thought so. Worthless little liar," Edmund glanced away, taking a breathe. I was trying to calm myself but I could feel myself boiling. And I exploded.

"I AM NOT A WORTHLESS LITTLE LIAR YOU, YOU, YOU POPSICLE! YOU DON'T KNOW ME AT ALL!"

"I KNOW YOU BETTER THAN YOU KNOW YOURSELF!"

"HOW?!"

"BECAUSE I... I'm observant, that's all."

Edmund's voice went from a blaring baritone to a normal mumble in seconds.

"Observant. Really?! THAT'S ALL YOU'VE GOT?!" Edmund's face has turned red at this point, as I'm sure mine did as well.

"NO, THAT'S NOT ALL I'VE GOT!"

"THEN WHAT ELSE IS THERE?!"

"I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU!"

Wh..? Still? He still loves me?
Even though...

"I notice everything about you, I know everything about you because I love you. When I thought you died... I was devastated. It hurt like hell. But here you are... and it appears I'm in love with a bunch of water vapor particles fused together..." I just stood there, right in front of him. He placed his forehead on mine, closing his eyes and sighing.

"Edmund..." I felt my eyes fill with tears as I blinked them away and they fell.

"Shh," he said, wiping them off my cheeks and smiling at me. "even if you're a rotten liar and heart breaker flying around everywhere and misting up people's days... I love you." I just smiled.

"I love you, too, Edmund." His smile grew as he leaned in and kissed me, holding the back of my neck. I just smiled and wrapped my arms around him, enjoying being with him again.

I hope this never ends...
