dearest l,

{this is going to be scattered i can just tell}

i just spent the last hour doing my genetic disorders project and fitting too much information onto one page with 10-point font and 11-point subheadings. it's still pretty fresh so here are some facts:

- cystic fibrosis is an inherited the recessive disorder, and the gene, from chromosome 7, called CFTR and normally (dominant i would imagine) would help move salt in and out of cells but when the protein does not work correctly the movement is blocked and thick mucus builds up

- more than 1,000 different mutations in the CFTR gene have been identified in patients

 -  CF is is the most common, fatal hereditary disease in the U.S.

- i still remember that grey's anatomy episode when lexie was still in it and a CF patient was getting a new lung and they discovered that his girlfriend also had CF which is forbidden and it was very sad

i've been painting and drawing lately it's so great i love it so much. i just feel...electrified when i art? i can't explain it. i'd love to just take pretty pictures and write and paint and listen to cool music for the rest of my life, but i guess i'll get a degree and a job so i can do that when i get home.

now let's talk about sociology because i just thought of it:

{in the lesson today there was a link to a personality test that was weirdly accurate and we both took it} it was so funny how we got the same personality types? like, i know we're twin-like similar and practically telepathic but still we have very different personalities (or so i thought...) so that was cool.

i discovered i was type 5: the investigator so here are some me-accurate facts:

fives tend to  withdraw and observe and need to mentally prepare for emergence into the world.

they are generally intelligent, thoughtful, and it is not uncommon for them to have artistic inclinations.

they are very comfortable in their minds and  less comfortable when it comes to dealing with their emotions (so true).  they're also usually somewhat restrained when it comes to emotional expression.

they are sensitive and to compensate sometimes adopt an attitude of careless indifference or intellectual arrogance, which has the unfortunate consequence of creating distance between themselves and others (hahahha yes)

i'm listening to dollhouse - melanie martinez is so amazing her voice makes me feel all the things. {if you haven't heard her cover of seven nation army you're missing something absolutely necessary.}

as an afterthought, today was pretty okay. the grad meeting was painful, i can only take so many "like.....like......yeah, like...." etc and prom planning. smh. i think i must be missing the genetic trait that makes one care about such things.

much love,

S

readers, i challenge you to take the personality quiz (i'll leave a link in the comments) and leave a comment as to what type YOU are, and if you think it's accurate :)

i love quizzes oh my gosh i take them too much
