dear s,

even though this week of school will only be a mere 4 days, rather than 5, it must be the longest week yet.

today, we were shamed by our biology teacher as the entire class (spare s, another and i), did, in the words of our teacher "atrociously" on our tests. ohmygoodess. my eyes welled with tears at least 3 times and i didn't even do poorly? sigh.

on a much happier note, s and i received the opportunity (given to us by our favourite teacher) to write literary and thought provoking quotations on his walls in his classroom. now, had our co-op teacher been there he would have lost his mind as s was standing high up on a table and i was standing precariously on a computer desk.

it was also nice because we were able to have a long chat with said teacher (as we were freshly coming into his room upon being shamed) and he was flabbergasted at our reactions, and finally convinced us that we were being foolish (it would only be okay to feel ashamed out of pity for those who did do so poorly...we're talking like below 40% poorly...yikes!), and that we should not feel ashamed but rather proud of our achievements.

oh! also, last night (thursday), s and i went to watch our school's musical concert featuring past and present students performing songs of a handful of categories (i should mention that fiddle music is included in that handful of categories and oh my goodness. i can't. i don't care how un-eastcoaster that makes me, i simply cannot fathom why people go out and listen to an entire concert of fiddle music... they all sound the same except slowly (emphasis on slowly) quickening in pace throughout each tune. also, there is this one note that these fiddlers play that could be used as a torture device for individuals who are recovering from concussions (me) i swear i could feel my neurons committing suicide one by one. i should also add that i simply adore classical violin, just not classic ceilidh tunes).

anywho, the concert was really quite lovely, s's cousin was amazing and our other two friends performing did amazing as well (one did frank sinatra and the likeliness between the two was astounding, and the other did bloodstream and a couple others.) really, the entire concert was very good, save a few (FIDDLE TUNES), but the absolute funniest thing was when a group of our teachers performed. two were on piano, on on guitar (our favourite teacher), one on vocals and (this is where the humour comes in) the bongos (this is the teacher that would have lost his mind had he seen s and i standing on tables without harnesses.. he's all about safety) anyway, this teacher was just having the time of his life on the bongos and i could not keep it together. s and i were in the second row and i was positively in tears laughing watching him bang away on the bongos off in his own world (at the end, someone even had to turn around and tell him that the song was done and that he can stop now, as he had continued banging away).

super proud of our friends, and all in all, the concert was a hoot.

as a sidenote, i've also been taking a lot of pictures lately and it's been a wonderful form of creative release (above being an example of one i took). if you guys are curious you can take a peek at my vsco ( http://vsco.co/elegantinsanity ) i didn't think i'd like it but now that i've begun using it more i simply adore it.

anywho, now, to the readers, when does your summer vacation begin? s and i will officially be done high school on the 27 of june.

i hope you all had a lovely week, and weekend!

much love, always,
