Sad chapter for me to write.

[Lily's POV]

Birds chirped loudly. I buried my head into the pillow. I wasn't a morning person at all. I silently cursed the birds for being so damn loud and before long, I gave up trying to fall asleep. My eyes fluttered open, my vision blurry at first before I adjusted. I rubbed my eyes, taking in my surroundings. I found that I was lying on Harry's bed. The other side of the bed was empty and the curtains of the windows were open.

I yawned, stretching my arms out. This was the first time in a while that I had gotten good sleep. I hopped out of bed, heading towards the mirror. I raised an eyebrow at my appearance. Though the bags under my eyes that I had noticed I had developed a few days ago were gone, my hair was a mess. strands flew out in every direction and I pursed my lips before attempting to untangle the mess.

I noticed a hair brush on the desk beside me and I grabbed it, using it to comb through my hair. Fingers crossed that Harry didn't mind. Once my hair looked acceptable I placed the comb down, walking out. The hallways were awfully quiet. I checked a clock on the wall, my eyes widening. It was ten o'clock. I had slept in big time.

Taking this time I had alone, I walked downstairs into the servants hallways. Taking a turn to the right, I found myself infront of my room door. I twisted the knob, entering the room. Everything was just the way I had left it, only my drawing from last night gone.

I smiled slightly, thinking that Harry must have come by and picked it up. Ignoring the missing drawing I walked to the attached bathroom, turning the shower on. On a lazy morning like this, I felt as though I needed one.

I quickly stripped, setting one foot into the shower after another. The warm water instantly hit me, making me smile. I began to hum the tune that Harry had sang last night.

"It makes your lips so kissable

And your kiss unmissable

Your fingertips so touchable

And your eyes irresistible."

I sang the lyrics softly, not wanting anyone to hear. I had the average voice, not good but not bad. Nothing to the point where I could sing in front of someone. I shivered as I remembered the way Harry's fingers had brushed against my lips, hands intertwined.

My insides tingled at the thought of him and I tried to ignore it only to have the image of him burning in my head. What was wrong with me lately? He was all I thought of twenty four seven at this point. Everything I did pretty much led up to him no matter what it was and it made me feel both annoyed and giddy.

I sighed, rinsing the conditioner out of my hair. I needed to stop thinking of him. My plan backfired on me as I started thinking of Louis. I imagined him walking in, his fists slamming against the door of the bathroom, demanding that I let him in.

I stepped out of the shower, my body warm and steam rising from the shower. The mirror was fogy as I dried myself before wrapping the towel around my waist. I blow dried my hair, putting lotion on before I dressed into new fresh cloths.

When I finally stepped out of my room, the halls were still quiet. Too quiet. My instincts screaming danger!, I ran into Perrie's room which was right across from mine. As the door swung open, I noticed that it was empty.

On the dresser was a plate of half eaten pancakes, the maple syrup bottle still open next to it. The bed was unmade and the top of her lipstick was still open. False eyelashes were scattered on the floor.

Something was definitely wrong.

I ran to Jenna's room, flinging the door open. I found the same thing, half eaten breakfast, scattered things and unmade bed. I didn't even bother checking the rest of the girls bedrooms, knowing exactly what I would find.

"Is anyone there?" I yelled out, my voice echoing through the silent halls. I knew no one would answer as I broke into a run, going down the rest of the stairs. I needed to find someone-anyone. I needed to know what was going on.

When I got downstairs, I saw everything in place. Not a single flower vase or table or lamp was out of place. Yet it was abandoned. I then saw something on the floor-a phone. I rushed over, grasping the phone in my sweaty hands.

Luckily there was no password, the lockscreen greeting me. I didn't want to snoop, but maybe this would give me an indication to where everyone was. I went to the persons text messages, looking at the most resent on.

From Olivia:

King Louis wants everyone in the front yard. Now.

The message had been received at 9:56, not far from the time now which was 10:19. I placed the phone back onto the ground where I had found it. Hopefully the owner of it would find it eventually. I sprinted to the front doors, using all my body weight to open it.

The heavy metal doors flung open.

The first thing I saw was the crowd. Hundreds of people, all servants at the castle, vampires and humans both. I could see familiar faces in the crowd. Perrie, Caroline, Jenna, April, Hannah and even Marcel.

The crowd chatted in hush voices, their eyes flickering to each other before looking forward again. I pushed past vampires and humans, ignoring their rude grunts and comments.

"Excuse me. Pardon me." I mumbled as my shoulders accidentally bumped into others. They just grunted before their attention was brought else where.

I nearly jumped as a familiar boy with a quiff appeared infront if me, his chocolate colored eyes narrowed.

"I'd advise that you don't go any farther Lily." He warned.

"What's going on?"

"You don't want to know." He admitted. His eyes suddenly widened and he held his breath. I watched as he flinched before he shook his head, facing me once more.

"No matter what I do, you'll see anyway." He sighed. He stepped out of my way. "Before you go and see, I'd like to tell you that Niall, Liam, Harry and I had no part in this."

I nodded to him, confused to what he was implying. I pushed past him, suddenly not so sure I wanted to know what was going on. Zayn could tell the future, he knew what was coming- what my reaction would be.

Before you go and see, I'd like to tell you that Niall, Liam, Harry and I had no part in this.

I kept Zayn's words in mind as I neared the center of the crowd. When I finally pushed my way to the center, the first thing I saw was Harry. His back was turned to me and he was talking urgently to Louis. His arms were crossed and his expression was serious as he tilted his head just enough for me to see. Louis suddenly stiffened, his conversation with Harry long forgotten. I felt the hair rise on my arms as he slowly turned to me, his lips forming an eerie smile.

"Lily, I've been waiting for your arrival." he said sweetly, his lips twitching. His eyes were wide and had a crazy, mad glint to them.

"Lily." Harry breathed, turning. His green eyes were wide with panic. "Lily go now before-"

"Shush Harold. She deserves to know, doesn't she?" Louis pushed past a protesting Harry, inching closer to me. I shook my head but held my ground. What did I deserve to know?

"You see, there are rules in my country. And when those rules are broken there are punishments." He circled around me, waving his finger in the air. "Lily, what is the punishment for trying to flee to a different country?"

"Death." I didn't like where this was going. Everyone knew that the punishment for this was death. Louis had made it clear in the past, many many times. Louis smiled before snapping his fingers. Guards who were standing in a circle stepped away, revealing three people tied to fence posts.

They weren't just any people.

They were my family.

I let out a horrified scream, falling backwards. I landed hard but I didn't care. It was already getting too hard to breath, tears already making their way to my eyes. I let out a choking sound just looking at them.

My mother was staring at me, her head tilted to the side. A trail of blood ran out of her mouth. She looked dead but her raspy breaths said other wise. I noticed that her eyes rolled back and forth as she struggled to focus on me. Her belly was no longer big from being pregnant- that ment she had my baby brother.

Then where is he?

Next my grandmother's frail body slumped over, her graying hair in her eyes. She slowly lifted her head, her sharp eyes flashing with recognition. I reached my hand out to them, I was so close yet so far away. I began crawling closer to them, my shaky breaths filling the silent front yard.

The third person was a little girl- my aunts youngest daughter, Isabelle. She was no more than four but she weakly wheezed her eyes half shut.

"What have you done to them?!" I asked, horrified. I turned to Louis who walked over to the fence posts, leaning onto them.

"I'm preparing them for their punishment. Lily, remind me again, what is the punishment for trying to flee to another country?"

Death.

Death.

Death.

I felt numb inside now as I thought of that word over and over again. Death. He was going to kill them. I thought I saw a flash of guilt in his eyes but it went away quickly.

"Your family was found this morning trying to escape." He was lying. I knew it. My mother and grandmother weren't stupid. They wouldn't just try to run off- not without me.

"I warned you."

Suddenly the guards grabbed my mothers shoulders, separating her from the fence post. They had her hands tied behind her back. They did the same to my grandmother, holding both up. They left Isabelle.

"NO!!" I screamed running at the guards, "Take me! Kill me!"

"Louis that's enough-" Harry started. He was by my side now, his eyes flashing dangerously.

"Guards take them away- have them executed."

It was too late. My family was being dragged over to the small building connecting to the castle. A few seconds later my mothers screams could be heard while my grandmother let out one eerie scream before falling silent. My mothers screams dragged on with her begging them to kill her. Finally I as met by silence.

"MOM!! GRANDMA!!"I fell to my knees, dropping infront of Louis. "Don't do this, Don't do this!"

"It had to be done-Take the girl too"

"LOUIS!" Harrys voice boomed across the crowd. He stepped forward, trembling with anger. "This has gone too far!"

Louis eyes widened and he stepped back, raising his hands in defense. He actually looked scared.

"Mate can we talk-?"

"DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO ME! YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDN'T KILL THEM! YOU BLOODY PROMISED!"

Before Louis could utter another word, Harry lunged. The two fell in a heap, Louis screams of pain filling the air. Harry snarled, punching Louis repeatedly. He kicked him aside, grabbing a branch from a near by tree. With a quick movement, Harry drove the stake into Louis's heart. Louis gasped, his breathing stopping.

"I know that this won't kill you but I don't f*cking care. I'll make one thing clear, We are not best mates. Not anymore."

I felt light headed now, the world spinning around me.

"Harry-" I croaked before I let darkness overtake me.

Ok who else hates Louis right now? Don't worry guys, Louis will realize that what he did was wrong. Louis went too far with this one. Anyway, feel free to rant about Louis in the comments below and I also want to thank you guys for all those comments in the past few chapters! Especially the Lirry ones!
