The men took a step towards her assessing her as a threat.

"Stop" James barked at his men. Fools! They had no ideas who they were dealing with.

"Leave us" he ordered them. Him men looked at him strangely, hesitating at his strange behavior.

"Now" he ordered again and this time they immediately complied.

'Michael' He mind linked his alpha.

'Come here ASAP' James messaged. The alpha didn't need to ask him why, if he wanted him there it was for a fucking good reason so he simply replied 'on my way'

James moved back, he was almost at the door ready for flight.

"So, it finally clicked, right?" She asked coolly as if she did not notice anything that happened around her.

"How do you know I knew your kind?" He asked her.

"I saw you during the Great War...lying on the ground...waiting to be killed...time flies isn't it?" she rhetorically asked.

"You were there?" He asked in astonishment. Honestly he was half dead and he would not even have noticed her.

"Of course I was there, wouldn't want to miss the fun. Besides I have a cool collection of vampire fang's jewelry, necklace and matching set of earrings...I was a few fangs short of a waist chain though" she sighed in disappointment "It would have made such a great set" She said sadly.

The sad thing was, he did not know to believe her or not. But he knew she was capable, he had seen the terrible destructive power of her kind that day fifty years ago.... It was still like yesterday's memory in his head.

Immortals had hidden in plain sight since time began but a group of vampires and demons changed that, they called themselves the blood army and they started openly waging wars against humans, enslaving them and slaughtering any resistance. Humans found out the hard way that technology and weapons didn't mean a damn against immortals. They only way you could kill an immortal was to decapitate it and it was easier said than done.

This had forced the werewolves to come out in to the open and side with humans to defend them and they also had a minority of Vampires and Demons on their side.

But the war between the two factions had gone badly for the human sympathizers, the resistance had put up a final stand and when they were almost at the brink of destruction....

...They came.

They strolled out of the woods like they were having a picnic. With their shiny armors and glowing swords. Both sides stopped fighting to look at this new entrant, trying to figure out who they were.

And then they attacked...and he thanked gods it was not the side supporting humans.

Because what he saw that day was seared in to his very conscious. They attacked the vampires and demons and slaughtered them, their swords cutting through them like butter, it was like nothing they had ever encountered. Their killing was systematic, mechanical....like pulling out weeds...within an hour the blood army who was almost tasting victory were defeated as the remaining few fled.

Afterwords, their had turned to them, the resistance was in too bad a shape to put up any kind of fight let alone with someone who completely destroyed an army previously thought indestructible.

But instead of attacking as they expected, they had kept staring at them with their face void of any emotion until their heads in perfect union snapped towards the forest as if someone called them from within, they quickly marched back in to the woods never to be found again.
