Kicking

Harry P.O.V.
It had been a month since the 'Naming Ceremony' as most people were calling it. Ginny was showing now more than ever as she had just entered her 6th month.
She didn't get mood swings (thank Merlin) who knows what would be left if she did. But she did had the weirdest cravings at the most random hours. I would be up at least twice a night to go down to the kitchens. Her requests were so odd I had to write them down to keep track of it all. I personally thought the pear was tired of being tickled.
I had just come back from a 3:45 Food Run for a conglomeration of things that resembled dung. I walked into our bedroom to see Ginny crying while she was stroking her stomach. I rushed to her side immediately,
"Ginny, Love, what's wrong?" I asked carefully treading the waters. She looked up at me with sad eyes.
"Oh Harry I've been so horrible to you, making you get up to get me things in the middle of the night. You never seem to sleep. And all my mood swings must be so hard to deal with." She nearly started sobbing. I climbed onto the bed kicking my shoes off as I did. I laid down facing her and cradled her in my arms. I stroked her hair soothingly until she somewhat calmed down.
"Ginny-" I began softly, "- you have not been horrible to me. You are the best thing ever to happen to me. You are carrying my child and giving me the family I've always wanted. If anything you are doing all the heavy lifting, I just want to help in any way I can. You have made me so happy. Don't ever think so badly of yourself." I told her gently but firmly. I didn't want her to think that she was barely doing anything, she was doing it all. She looked at me for a moment, then crushed her lips to mine. I pulled her as close as I could manage with the bump in the middle. My stomach was pressed against hers. Things were staring to get heated when all of a sudden I felt a small but strong push against where her stomach was against mine. I immediately pulled back to look her in the eyes.
"Was that...." I began but couldn't finish as I felt another push. I put my hand over the spot where I had twice felt it. The baby kicked again. My eyes shot up to look as my loves ocean blue ones. Her face broke into the happiest smile is seen in awhile. Mine did the same.
"Harry, the baby's kicking!" She exclaimed excitedly. I laughed at pure happiness at the thought. There was really a baby in there. She was really carrying my child. The realization hit me like a moving train but caused me no pain. Only joy and adoration for my unborn child.
"I can't wait to meet him or her" I said aloud.
"You know, there is a spell we could do to find out what gender it is." Ginny said slowly. My mouth dropped open in shock.
"Let's do it! Why didn't you tell me about it before?" I said suddenly excited to find out. She laughed at my enthusiasm,
"I only just remembered. I read it in that book over there." She pointed to a small book across the room. I jumped up to get it flicking through the pages carefully. When my eyes found the spell I whipped out my wand and muttered the incantation and waved my wand the way the book told me to. A blue glow surrounded Ginny's stomach a moment later and I looked at her.
"It's a boy!" I told her excitedly. I practically apperated to her side and leapt onto the bed attacking her with kisses. I stopped, slowly moving my face in front of her bump. I kissed it gently.
"Hey there little man. Daddy can't wait to meet you. Neither can your mum. We both love you so much. Always remember that." I said softly. I moved my gaze to Ginny's face. She was smiling softly at me. I slowly moved to lay next to her and she rested her head on my shoulder.
"We need to think of names." She said. So we lay there with each other for awhile thinking of names. I tried to think of some but none of them fit.
"I-I have a name." Ginny stated timidly which was very unlike her.
"And we don't have to use it if you don't want to use it"
I looked at her questioningly, "All right go on." She took a deep breath,
"Well I know how much you loved your parents and your godfather, so I was thinking.... James Sirius Potter." I hadn't even thought about naming my children after my parents, but now I couldn't think of anything else more perfect.
"I love it, it's perfect. He's gonna have helluva name to live up to though." I said laughing slightly. She looked up at me gauging my reaction.
"You really like it?" She asked, happiness spreading across her face.
"No, I love it." I replied and ended sealed it with a searing kiss.
