Harry P.O.V
They were all here for us, me and Ginny. It seemed like the entire D.A. was in the Room of Requirement. Of course that wasn't true. Some of them we're Slytherins who were against us in fifth year and others couldn't make it. There were also a bunch of new people who I'd never met before, but they were here to help.
I had asked McGonagoll if we could use the Room of Requirement and as soon as I explained our situation she immediately agreed. She even offered to help, as did the rest of the Wealseys. I didn't want to ask anyone's help, but when it concerned the safety of my son and Ginny I would do anything.
We had just given the group a run down of what the Death Eaters were going to try. Malfoy found out that they were going to try to take James right after his birth. They would know when he was being born because of a special spell they were using. It told the caster whether or not a mother had been separated from child or not. There was no counter curse for it so we couldn't stop them finding out. They were checking at least eight times a day to see. Malfoy also knew the route they were going to take to get to the Hospital Wing.
We were going to have guards everywhere. The strongest and weakest fighters would be right outside the doors because the weaker ones needed protection too. (Of course they didn't know they were weaker.) Draco Malfoy himself would be inside the hospital wing while Ginny was having our baby. She was uncomfortable with him being there at first but when Malfoy promised her he would be as far away as possible from her and she realized it would be best for James' safety she quickly agreed.
Malfoy had this theory that if they saw him inside the room first, they might hesitate and it would give us enough time to take them down. Ginny, James, and I would then use a portkey to get to the Burrow. If anyone followed us there then we would go to our own house. I had bought it for our small family a little while back. Ginny didn't know about it yet. All she knew was there was a backup place that we were to go if needed.
I was nervous but this plan had to work. I would die before I let anything happen to either of them.

It was two weeks after the meeting for the protection of James and everyone was on edge. Ginny was the most stressed out and that was worrying me. I knew stress wasn't good for the mother or baby during pregnancy so I was watching Ginny like a hawk, looking for a sign that something was wrong.
Her back was achey and her feet were swollen and sore as she had just entered her eighth month. I tried to keep her as comfortable as possible. Her cravings settled down (thank Merlin) so I actually got some sleep, I knew if need it once James was here. I couldn't say the same for Ginny though. As James grew it became tighter and tighter in there for him so he had less room to move around.
"I swear to you-"
I was startled by the sound of my loves voice as she had been sleeping moments ago, or so I thought.
"- this son of yours better stop kicking--"
"So he's my son when he does something bad?" I asked quickly cutting across her.
"You do know he half of you too and for as long as I can remember you have always been rather feisty." I said making a joke. We were currently curled up on the couch in the living room of our makeshift apartment. I decided we were going to stay in today and relax, so far it's working. She laughed at my joke and we continued on the harmless bickering until she got serious.
"Harry-" she said the smile fading off her face.
"I don't want to lose him. I can't, I don't know what I'd do. What if I'm not strong enough to after giving birth to James to protect him. I'm his mother Harry it's my job to keep him safe. What if they don't just hold him captive. What is they hurt him? What if they kill him!? I couldn't bear it Harry!" She cried tears streaming down her face, hysteria claiming her words. I scooted close to her and held her as close to me as I could. I rocked her back and forth but it didn't seem to help. So I resorted to talking soothing words...
"Love, I won't let anything happen to him or you. I completely see where you're coming from. I'm his father as well and it's my job to protect both of you. And that's exactly what I plan to do. Okay?"
She started to nod seemingly calmed down when all of a sudden she froze. I felt her muscles tense and I immediately could tell something was wrong.
"No. No. No. No. No. No! It's too early. He can't come yet!"
She suddenly bent over forward clutching her stomach and letting out gasps of pain. It suddenly hit me what was going on. He was too early! He couldn't come now.

But it seemed James Sirius Potter was stubborn like his mother. And wanted to come out when he was least expected.
