"...but, no. Why can't you-it was a mistake,"

Breathe.

"Just get away from me"

In, then out.

"No no no..."

A bright light forced me to open my eyes.

"Alex, hey wake up," Gabe comes in and sits on my bed next to me. Wow, for a dream that felt pretty realistic.

"Hey, it's okay. It was another nightmare. It happens," he assures me.

"Yeah. I'm sorry. Is it really only 5 in the morning?"

"Yeah it's Saturday. Try to go back to sleep. "

"Ok... Gabe?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you." All throughout my life, this football playing, video game crushing, 24/7 hoodie wearing boy was the only one I've loved. After we left home that cold, winter day, he has been the only one who could make me die of laughter, try new things, and teach me how to trust.

"I love you too loser."

"Hey dumb ass, get off the table before you break it again," I live with the most annoying people ever. Good morning I guess.

"Can't I get some sleep? What the hell?"

"Not today! It's my birthday!" Kenn shouts back. Shit. I forgot. School has really been stressing me out lately. Good thing we don't buy presents. We usually just go out or eat dinner somewhere.

"Where are we going for your big day?" I run my eyes and tug at my hair.

"This dude at school invited us to a party. Man that Harry dude is awesome." Of course he's friends with Kenn.

"Hey have you guys seen my phone? I can't find it anywhere!"

"Haven't seen it, but we'll find it later. It's already 2. I suggest you go get ready unless you plan on going like that." Did I really sleep that late? That's very unlike me, but then again, last year of high school is a lot to handle.

After I got out of the shower, I put my hair in a low side braid, I put on my denim skirt, a gray t-shirt, and brought a white jacket to match my white vans. After this week I really feel like I just need a good time.

We pull up to the house and saw a bunch of cars. They lined the streets. Well this should be packed. We walked in and saw a bunch of sweaty people dancing and probably 50 beer cans just by the door alone. Kenn saw some girls and went over to flirt. Stephen sees the football team and makes his way over. Gabe stood there with me not knowing what to do.

"So what are you going to do?" I saw my friends Mackenzie and Tiffany by the stairs.

"I'll be over there, see you later." I said and walked over to Tiffany.
"Hey. Why so many people?" I practically had to scream over the music.

"I think the bar was closed so they all just came here," Tiff says I chuckle.

Tiffany has long, black hair and the biggest smile ever. This chick is very spirited and likes girly things. How she's my friend I really don't know. Mac however, she definitely looks like someone I would be around. She has short, light brown hair and the biggest most blue eyes anyone's ever seen. She usually wears old concert shirts and baggy jeans. Never cares what anyone thinks about her.

"That guy is cute," Tiffany says. She was pointing to a stalky blonde boy in a Rolling Stones T-shirt.

"No, anyway, who wants to do a shot? I've been dying to get wasted," Mac says.

"We should settle this with shot wars!!!"

"Oh I mean maybe a couple." I'm game for having fun. I don't really go overboard, but anyone who knows me knows that I never back down from a challenge.

We set up the little glasses and a bunch of people gathered around so I can't back down now.

Everyone was hollering and watching. We both somehow ended up with 4 shots in a row and two full cups of liquor as a chaser. A challenge it is indeed. I quickly drank the shots and my throat burned. Then I chugged down a can of beer. At this point it tastes like water. To say the least, I won.

All I can remember was everyone cheering, then I was yelling at Gabe about something. Next, everything went fuzzy.
