After everything that happened today, I just wanted to sleep. Maybe then I'll finally get some sort of peace. I snuggled up in under my blanket and drifted off.

I jolted up in my bed from a crashing noise. I get up and peak down the hallway. Nothing. I round the corner into the living room. Kenn is trying to pick up some glass from what used to be a frame with a picture of Gabe and I when we were younger.

"I'm sorry. It's just my wheelchair got caught... and I couldn't stop it and..." his eyes were watering and his voice shaky. I grabbed his hand and smiled at him.

"Hey...it's okay. It's just glass right?" I bend down to pick it up and he kinda helps as well as he can.

"Thanks Al," he smiles and it warms my heart.

"Anytime," I say and I walk back to my room. I pick up my phone to see missed calls from Harry. Three in a row. Nervously, I press the call button.

"Hello?" he answers.

"Um hey. A stalker called here earlier, well three times earlier to be exact." he chuckled at my sarcasm and continued.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I was wondering if you wanted to catch up and talk?" He pauses.

"Well um..." before I can continue he burst out.

"If Gabe has an issue with it he can talk to me... oh I don't mean that as a threat I- ."

"I know Harry, I'll talk to him. Meet at the park next to the school?" He agreed and tells me he loves me, to which I respond with 'I love you too.'

I don't want to move, but I get up from my comfy position and jump in the shower.

I put on my skinny jeans and red long sleeved shirt with my red Toms. I'm just going for comfort at this point.

I grab my phone from my dresser and proceed down the hallway to ask Gabe to borrow his car. This should be fun.

I walk into his room and he's lying on the bed reading a really, really big book.

"Heyo, whatcha reading?" I try to sound interested in what he's doing even though it looks like the most boring thing in the world.

"May I help you?" he raises his eyebrow at me.

"Can't a sister just come and check on her bro?"

"Not when she looks like that." he scans my outfit.

"No I just really... okay." I drop the act at this point.

"What I'm hearing is you either drank alcohol, broke something or are really really sick." He does have a point. I never go in his room, ever.

"Fine, I need to see Harry." His facial expression fell into a stiff one.

"Why?" He looks back down at his book.

"Well we were just gonna talk. You know? Hang out."

"Where?"

"Geez. When did you become my dad?" I understand he wasn't too fond of Harry now, but lighten up a bit on the questions. Did he want a urine and blood sample too?

"Answer me or else it's a no."

"For fuck's sake, the park next to the school." He nodded and sat up in his bed.

"So what are you asking here?"

"If I can use your car" he stares blankly at me and then stands up to put his hoodie on.

"What are you doing?"

"Going to drive you." Not what I meant.

"No Gabe, I'm a big girl. I can go by myself. He promised that he wouldn't do anything to hurt me and I trust him. Why can't you?"

"Alex... do I really have to explain here? I want him to know that he won't hurt you ever again or else he'll have bigger problems to deal with."

"Gabe, I know what this is really about. You don't want your younger sister to go off on her own. That's it isn't it?" He stood still and looked at the ground.

"Gabe, I'll always be your little sister. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon."

"I know. Go." he says and tosses me the keys. I hold them and look up at his glossy eyes.

"Really? Thank..."

"Just go before I change my mind." I run up to him and give him a really tight hug then quickly walk out the door before he actually changes his mind.

After I pull into the lot, I step out and find my special spot under my oak tree. It's my special tree because when I was going through hard times when I first went to this school, I would come here and cry. Sometimes just to have a smile or not a care in the world. Any special event that would happen in my life, good or bad, I'd come here.

I look up and see him walking over to me with his sunglasses on. He sits down next to me and doesn't even look over.

"Oh so now your too cool to even look at me?" I chuckle and he rips off his sunglasses to show me a huge, swollen black eye.

"No I just have this." It was a big, black bruise. Stephen really knows how to throw those punches.

"Wow, nice one. Is it from Stephen?"

"Nope." Oh great. He got into another fight.

"Harry you can't just take out your anger on random people," his face gets really red.

"It was Aaron," My face dropped.

"So he's still out there?"

"Yeah," We sat in silence for a while. He finally spoke up.

"Alex?"

"Yeah?" I say and he stays looking at the grass.

"I don't know what to do here. I feel so lost. He keeps sending people after me and I don't know what I'd do if one of them lays a finger on you," he grabs my hand and squeezes it tight.

"Harry, love, it'll be okay. I promise you." Do I know if that's true? Not really, but it doesn't matter. I've rarely seen him scared. Like truly scared. I'd say whatever to comfort him right now.

"Can kiss you?" he leans closer and I nod.

"You never have to ask,"

Finally our lips touch. They move in their own rhythm. I feel so protected, like nothing could separate us again. I'll do everything in my power to never leave him again.
