We walked back to the room to see an empty bed. I started shaking and my eyes were tearing up. She can't be dead. Can she? We were only gone for an hour. She's the one I can tell anything. She's like my sister. I felt a tear drip down my cheek. Harry then ran outside the room. Was he leaving? Had this become too much for him? I knew I couldn't trust him. That made me cry even more.
While staring at the bed I sat in the chair beside it and put my head in my hands. Next thing I know, someone taps me on the shoulder. I thought it was a nurse, but it was Mackinsey. I was so overjoyed, I stood up suddenly and engulfed her in my arms.

I ran out of the room to ask a nurse what was going on. I saw Katy.
"Excuse me, I'm Alex's... friend. Do you know where Mackinsey Robinson is?"
"She woke up so a nurse took her to the restroom."
"Thank you." I was very relieved until I heard loud sobbing coming from the room Alex was in. I started running down the hall towards the room.
As I opened the door, I saw Mackinsey in a tight hug with Alex. I guess I don't have to tell her what Katy said anymore.

•AlexAs I embraced Mac, I opened my eyes and saw Harry. I thought he left.
"Are you guys ok?"Harry says.
"Do I look okay Harry?!" I kinda say quite rudely.
"It's okay I'm here now. I'm sure he was only trying to help." Mac tried to comfort me. I stopped crying so we could talk.
After a few hours of sitting on the hospital bed, I could feel my eyes getting droopy. The clock on the wall said it was almost midnight. Mac said we could go. I didn't want to leave her there alone, but she assured me her dad's shift ended soon.
I wasn't looking forward to driving with Harry but I'm too tired to walk. I get in and snuggle close to the seat.
"Hey are you okay? I know it's been a long day for you," he asks. I just groan in response. I was too tired to even speak.
"Okay, you're coming home with me. You need some tea. I've got the best." I didn't even protest. I just want to sleep.
When we got to the driveway, I scooped out the house. It was a two story and looked like the average size home. I tried to open the door but he stopped me.
"Wait where are you going?"
"Uh, inside? Where else?" I didn't even wait for his response. I stepped out if the car only to fall to my knees. I have to admit it really hurt.
"And that's why I said wait."
He bent down and held my hands in his. I looked into his beautiful emerald eyes as he stared into my honey brown ones. It felt oddly satisfying. He's alright I guess. I mean he had just skipped school to sit at a hospital with me all day.
"Take a picture. It'll last longer," he chuckled. I realized that my nose was bleeding. I guess I hit it when I fell. He helped me into his house. It was really nice. Paintings covered the walls. Vases decorated the tables.
I sat in the leather couch and he came back with a first aid kit. He started digging around in it and pulled out some liquid in a bottle and wiped it onto a cloth.
"Will this hurt?"
"I'm not sure actually." The cold liquid touched my nose and I shifted expecting pain. It didn't hurt surprisingly.
"I'll sleep in my parent's room and you can get my room. They're out of town for business."
I nodded. We walked to his room and he gave me an extra blanket. I tucked myself in.
"See you in the morning," he said and attempted to switch off the light.
"Wait, Harry?" He whipped around.
"That's me."
"If you don't mind, could you...stay with me for a little bit?" I sound like a 5 year old. I don't even care right now. He just makes me feel weirdly safe. I really don't want to be alone right now.
"Sure love." A pet name? Too soon.
He climbed into the bed with me and I turn away from him so things won't be awkward. He's facing me and I hope his eyes are closed. I turn and scoot closer to him. He wraps his arms around me and my head is now in his chest. It'd been a rough day. I don't know why, but this made my heart flutter. I just let it happen. I start to drift off to his soft snoring.
