Later, after a long day of people asking, "Who are you?" And commenting, "Oh my God, look at the new girl. She is so ratchet," I finally found myself making the long walk home.
As I walked, I thought about homework, lunch, Courtney... but mostly about Aaron. Could he really be a vampire? I mean, of course he was (obviously), but I've never believed in supernatural creatures before. Was it really possible to live off of blood and sparkle in the sunlight and hiss at garlic and sleep in a coffin? Perhaps.
But was it also possible for Tyler to be so smoldering he could make a walk-in freezer into a sauna? 'Woah!' I thought. 'I can't be thinking that! I'm in love with Aaron. But Tyler... he's so charming and sexy. Could it be...?'
I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk. The sudden realization hit me harder than a semi-truck and I gasped out loud.
"I'm in a love triangle!" I exclaimed.
A hobo with a bottle covered with a brown bag walked by, giving me a dirty look at my sudden exclamation. I smiled apolegetically and hurried on my way.
'A love triangle!' I thought excitedly. 'A triangle! An actual love triangle! A triangle of LOVE!'
I was suddenly pulled out of my thoughts by the smell of coffee and free Wifi. Looking up, I saw the bright green sign that is universally known as Starbucks. 'I could definately go for a latte right now,' I thought, feeling for the spare $10 I kept in my bag.
I walked in, the bell on the door signaling my entrance. I waited behind a man already in the short line and scanned the menu for the latte I wanted. When it was finally my turn, I was greeted by a tall, handsome boy with green eyes and slightly tousled brown hair.
"Ello, love," he said in an English accent. "What can I get for you today?"
"Ah-uhm." I cleared my throat, blushing. "A medium caramel latte, please."
"Sure. That'll be four pounds- er, sorry, dollars." He corrected himself quickly, also blushing. I handed him my money, glancing at his nametag that read 'HARRY'. Casually eyeing him up, I said, "So, are you from Britain?"
"Yes, I'm from England." He answered, handing me my change. "And you're from Oregon, I presume?"
"No, West Virginia, actually," I corrected.
"Oh, alright. Did you move here, or are you just visiting?"
"I just recently moved here. I'm Hailey, by the way."
"I'm Harry. I'm pretty famous, actually," He smiled.
"Oh, really?" I replied playfully. "What's your last name, then?"
He grinned. "Styles. I'm Harry Styles."
