I woke up in my bed and I couldn't remember how I got there. I tried to remember but i couldnt, all I knew was that I had a splitting headache and I desperately needed a shower and I could try to remember after I got one.

I smelled like a dead animal and my mouth tasted weird metallic like, kinda like it chewed on an iron rod. I walked into my bathroom and glanced in the mirror then started undressing but quickly turned back to the mirror. I had leaves in my hair and dirt was smudged on my face and body. I looked horrible but what really got me was the dried blood that was everywhere except for on my clothes. I quickly got into the shower and washed it all away. When I got out i brushed my hair and teeth put on a band t-shirt and black skinny jeans. I skipped out on the makeup, like I normally do. Makeup isn't a challenge for me actually I'm quite good at it but it's just so much work and I'm just so lazy.

I checked my phone and there was a message from a number I didn't recognize.
"Ask your parents what happened last night, they should know. -D"

The events suddenly came back as I looked up and thought about who the D stood for.
"Derek" I whispered out loud apparently not much of a whisper as my mom had walked in while I was preoccupied and asked "Who's Derek? "

I was about to tell her but remembered what the text said so instead I asked "What happened to me last night? " which apparently took my mom by surprise.

"What?" She asked rather confused.

"What happened last night? The minute I turned 16 my bones started breaking and I started sprouting hair all over my body. My teeth got sharper and my eyes started to glow. They were glowing red mom, red. What the hell happened."

"I was afraid of this."

"Mom, afraid of what?"

"I need to call your father, he'll be able to explain a lot better than I will."

"At least tell me why that happened before making me wait 4 hours to get an explanation." I had my suspicion sure but it was insane and it was almost out of the question.

"Amelia, you're a werewolf, that's why that happened. You're a smart girl, you already knew I know you did."

It's no longer outta the question, actually it's the bullseye.

"Amelia!" My mom called sounding annoyed. "Your father wants to talk to you."

I took the phone from my mom's hand and put it up to my face. "Hello?"

"Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I'll be there really soon to explain everything to you and answer any questions you have. I'll talk to you again soon. " then the phone went dead and I was left to wait.
