I went to my moms and dripped off my stuff and stayed with her for about two hours and told her that I would be back later and that I wanted to see some friends. She said okay and so I grabbed my keys and my wallet and phone.

I texted Ty and asked him what he was doing casually,he still had no idea I was here. He texted back saying he was hanging out with Jackie at the mall. So I went to the mall. I continued to text him and act normal and eventually I asked him what store he and Jackie were in and if they were getting me something. He of course said no and surprise surprise they were in hot topic so I headed over there.

I went into the store and spotted them in the back. They were arguing over the fact of which belly button piercing Jackie should get. So I went over and asked "Can I help you two with anything?" Jackie turned around without paying much attention and asked "yes can you help us pick one of these out, I'm torn between the two." Ty still hadn't looked up from the case yet. So I started talking about the piercings and I helped her pick one. Then they finally turned to me and started to thank me until they realized it was me and that was the death of my ear drums. And also my ability to breath after Ty hugged me. It was great seeing them and we eventually started just walking around the mall. Then when we got into a less crowded part of a store they asked me something I for one was not ready for.

"So your a werewolf, huh?" That was Ty. My face was morphed into a shocked expression and I looked between them.

"We can smell it on you, we are too." He quickly clarified.

"Well that and the fact that the Alpha always talks about you." Jackie added.

"Is his son still missing?" I added in, I was really curious plus I was hoping they'd mention a name.

"Yea sadly he is. He was supposed to take over the pack last year when he turned 21. But he just up and left. Everyone thinks it's because he went looking for his mate. He's met her before."

"Or he ran away so he could reject her" Ty interrupted Jackie.

After that she continued "He actually disappear about the same time that you did Mel. Maybe a week after."

I still didn't know his name and I needed to, something in me told me that I needed to. So I asked and Jackie answered.

"Derek, the senior you had a crush on." My heart started pounding and I'm pretty sure that they heard it. But he showed up, Caleb ruins everything.

"So little miss blondey over here's got the gene. That's cute, I wonder what color her eyes are, Alpha never told us that." His annoy nails on a chalkboard like voice said. "So wanna show me? Or will I have to make you show me by force."

Before I could say anything Ty interjected. "Caleb why don't you and your normal yellow pack member eyes leave. She isn't obligated to show you, and you can't make her."

Caleb turned to Ty now facing him instead of me. "You can't tell me that your not curious too. Because I know you are so is Jackie but I'm the only one who has the guts to ask."

Then it was Jackie's turn to yell "You didn't ask you demanded. And how do you know that we don't already know what color her eyes are? Huh?"

"Because if you did you wouldn't be yelling about it." Caleb had a point and showing them my eyes wasn't a big deal. It was the fact that I didn't want Caleb to see them. I didn't really want anyone to actually. The only person who I wanted to see them was Derek. He had seen them already but there was something about him being the first one to see them that made me want him to be the only one that gets to see them.

When I snapped out of my daze, theyxwere still arguing and nobody was paying attention to me so I casually just slipped away and got into my car and left. I texted Ty and Jackie to let them know that I left and that I was alright, plus I wanted to train and go to sleep.

I trained for about 5 hours without even realizing it. It was the next day when I finally found myself in my bed drifting to sleep. Then right before I completely fell into sleeps clutches, I smelled him.

I looked towards my window and he was there. Looking straight at me then he whispered " I missed you, and now that your back I can be too. Get some rest Mel."

He was gone in the blink of an eye. I whispered back, "I missed you to Derek." Fully aware that he probably couldn't hear me. Until I hear the howl and knew he had.
