I'm technically a senior now, though I graduated in the middle of what would have been my sophomore year. I have my diploma and all. My father introduced me to the alpha that runs a pack next to where my dad lives.

Technically we're rogues or at least that's what all the werewolf books would consider us. We all just get to pick whether pack life is for us or if it's not. Since there is so little of us left we don't really give a damn about territories and such. We respect them and don't go into them without alerting the alpha in the region but other than that all the books basically get everything wrong, well except for the mates part.

I tried texting Derek the day after I had got to my dads 2 years ago but the number was disconnected and I had training to worry about so I didn't stay in touch with anyone really. I stayed in touch with Ty which brought along Caleb with it and I kept in touch with Jackie. Everyone else just kinda forgot about me. I can't say I blame them though I did just kinda up and leave.

I haven't been back there since I left, my mom just comes and sees me. On those visits when my parents thought I was asleep they would talk about my eyes. The Alpha part was a lie well partial lie, see Alphas and Lunas their eyes glow blue like ice. Mine have blue streaks in them but they still can't figure out why mine are mostly red. They think it has something to do with the fact that I was born with the werewolf gene. Sometimes my mom talks about the Alpha over there. How his son went missing and that everything is going terribly and that I can't come back until the future Alpha is back. They never mention the name of the future Alpha, the only thing that I ever got was that he had a younger brother a year older than me. They think that his brother might be my mate, though they aren't completely sure. I never told them about Derek and I didn't plan to until I knew that I was going to see him again. There could be a possibility that he doesn't even want me, my dad said it's called a rejection when mates don't want each other. You can tell if you've been accepted by your mate when they want to always be around you no matter what, they will fight to be just close to you. So I guess I've been rejected, or else he would have come and found me.

My mom was supposed to come and see me today but when I went downstairs to clean the house a little before she showed up my dad was waiting for me with a duffle bag of stuff, keys, money, and a gas card. I was completely confused and it probably showed on my face as my father picked up on it.

"Your mom's not coming here this time, your going there."

I was shocked to say the least, ecstatic but still shocked. I didn't say anything and I was so didn't do anything for a long time when in reality it was only a few seconds. The shock factor started disappearing and was replaced with excitement. I was going back and I got to see Jackie and Ty and if I was lucky enough I would get to see Derek. At the thought of him my heart fluttered. I had always had a huge crush on him but I would always push it aside because he was a senior when I was a freshman and I would have never gotten the chance but now I might have but my happiness over him was very soon crushed by the realization that he never came looking for me, which mentioned he probably rejected me. Either way I would get to see my two best friends so I grabbed everything from my dad hugged him and put the duffle in the back of my jeep. I was ready to leave and so I did.

After about 4 hours of driving i started recognizing the sights. I softly whispered to no one in particular "I'm back, miss me?"
