Before my father had gotten there my mother told me that I would be home schooled again. I for one was very against this as I had finally gotten back a regular kids public school hell type of life. I didn't say anything though as I knew she was right. From the little information she told me, I learned that anger can trigger the change. I already had a short fuse and my peers made me angry. It would not be a safe environment to keep me.

My father got to my mother's house, they argued like they normally would. They had since I was younger, the divorce made it less possible but they still did it. I had gotten used to it though and so had my older brother Brice. When they had finally stopped the arguing my dad came over and started to explain.

"You're probably curious as to why we didn't tell you. Well that's because nobody thought it was possible for non mates to produce non human children."

"What are mates?" I asked out loud sounding quite stupid after I asked.

"Mates are soul mates, werewolves just get to tell whether or not somebody is their soul mate as soon as they lay eyes on them unlike humans." My father answered. Then he continued, "it is very rare nowadays for werewolves to find there mates because of how spread out we all are. So in return we usually just settle down with someone, usually a human, to live out our life with."

I thought back to Derek on my birthday and what he said before i passed "mine." I decided to ask another question. "Why were my eyes red?"

"What? They were red?" My dad asked as he looked a little terrified and confused. I looked over to my mother and her face was drained from all color.

"Yea, is that bad?" I asked with uncertainty with how they were looking.

"Honestly I'm not sure. Are you sure they were red? Maybe they could have been a different color? Like blue, yellow, bright green?"

I was getting slightly annoyed. Of coarse they were red why would I be making this up? "Yes I'm very sure they were red, why what does that mean?" This was said in a very sharp tone and the remaining color drained from my parents faces.

"Mel calm down and just breath." I heard the panic in my dads voice as he tried to calm me. I listened and just breathed and I eventually calmed down.

"Well at least we're sure that they're red." My mother said, for the first time in the conversation. I looked at my dad who had a knowing face.

"What?" I questioned him.

"The red eyes mean alpha, Mel. You're born to be mated to an Alpha. You were born to be a Luna."

"A what?"

"The real leader of a pack, the Luna. The Alpha controls the pack, and the Luna well the Luna controls the Alpha."

I was stuck in awe, a leader? I can barely even order a drink let alone order around people. I'd have more time to think through this all in the car and while I finished pack. "Dad?"

"Yes Mel?"

"We should probably get going soon."

"That we should, go finish packing alright?"

I started up the stairs then called back over my shoulder."Okay. Mom?"

"Yes sweetheart?" She responded as I called for her.

"Will you help me pack?"

"Of course."

And that's how it went I got packed up and told my mom goodbye with quite a few tears and told her I loved her. Then I got in my dads truck and we drove and drove and drove. I would start training in the morning, school in the afternoons, then more training in the evening. Meals to separate each. On weekends it would be training all day from dawn till dusk.

This would be a fun filled torture.
