Robbie led me down the long hall to a dimmed room, with candles and rose petals all around the table.
'Oh my gosh. Robbie it's beautiful.' I said, clearly amazed at all the work he'd done.
'Well, It's nothing I wouldn't do for you, especially after all we've been through together. I want you to know that I love you with all my heart, and that's never gonna change, alright?' Robbie said, with a little emotion in his voice.
I grabbed a tissue from my bag, and wiped my eyes. He pulled out a chair for me, then disappeared into the kitchen.
I sat there, looking at the lovely table he had set up. This table was new. His parents never had this table. Wait, where are they anyways?
'Robbie?' I called.
'Yes, Kitty Kat?' He said, from the kitchen.
'How come your parents aren't home?' I asked, picking up a rose petal and putting it to my nose.
'Oh, they went out to dinner.' He replied, walking back into the dining room with two plates of food.
It smells really great. That's what I love about Robbie. He always knew how to turn a girl on with his cooking.
'Mm, smells great. What'd you make?' I asked, as Robbie placed a glass plate in front of me.
'I made a vegetarian meal just for you. I even catered vegetarian pasta. But I'll learn how to make it just for you.' He said, kissing the top of my head.
I smiled, and picked up my fork.
Robbie sat across from me, and put a napkin on his lap. Half way through the meal, he decided to break the silence.
'So, Cat. What are your plans for tomorrow, sweetheart?' he asked, looking at me.
'Um, I don't know. Why?'
'I want to spend the day with you. Just you and I. No interruptions. Sound good?' He asked, smiling.
'Sure. What will we do together?' I asked, stabbing my noodles with my fork.
'Whatever you wanna do.' He said, smiling.
'Um, I've never been ice skating. I don't know how, either.' I replied, looking down.
'I can teach you. I was around 9 when my parents taught me how to ice skate.' He said, taking his hand and lifting my head, to look at him.
'It's not hard, princess. Trust me. Once you get out there, it's pretty easy, sweetheart.' He said, smiling at me. I smiled back.
We finished up our dinner, and talked for a little while.
'So, I'll pick you up at 11 tomorrow, and we'll start our day.' Robbie, as I got of the car. I smiled, and waved goodbye.
I walked inside, and closed the door behind me. I slid my back down the wall, and just sat there thinking about how much Robbie means to me.
'Cat, darling. Is that you?' My mom said, from the kitchen. I snapped out of my trance, and got up.
'Yeah, it's me, mom. Goodnight.' I said, walking up to my room, and shutting the door.
I changed into my pjs and laid down on my bed, staring up at the ceiling.
Oh Robbie. Sweet sweet, nerdy Robbie. I love him so much. I wish he was here with me now, just so I could tell him. 'I love you Robbie.'
